We were second best in both halves. Movement was poor off the ball, we only created a few half chances. Will add more thoughts when I get home.
no movement off the ball. our most threatening player was our left back. nothing offered in midfield at all, no tackling, no passing, no pressing. we'd get battered every week if we snuck in to the playoffs and went up. probably best to fall away early now, get the takeover done and start planning for next year early.
What has changed from the opening three games with Bowyer? Serious question from a boycotter, Bristol aside.
A terrible performance. We completely lacked any sense of urgency or purpose. There was no energy - our players performed like it was a testimonial game. Bowyer’s tactics were inexplicable. Why so much side ways and backwards passing? Why were Pearce & Bauer - two clodhoppers so uncomfortable on the ball - instructed to start every one of our moves with the ball at their feet ? Amos is the only player to emerge with any credit today - but for 2/3 excellent saves we would have taken a pasting ...and against the most out of form side imaginable. You can blame the owner, CEO, manager, fans and ref all you like but ultimately you get nowhere with a group of players with no arsehole ...and that’s us. Sad.
Absolutely horrendous viewing, a potential day in a beer garden missed to watch that sh!te. Got my Shrewsbury ticket, we go again!
Charlton should terminate kaikai’s loan on Monday and send him back to Palace reserves. A wages thief.
The players are not good enough full stop. They lack ability & just as importantly, bottle. Our two most consistent performers are loans - Amos & da Silva. Says it all...
I could never have imagined we'd be so easily beaten. Never looked like scoring. The ref's performance is a red herring, our performance was far worse.
We go to Wembley, 25k Charlton singing "We want Roland out". That would be nice, but very unlikely for many reasons.
We need a takeover ASAP followed by a purge - Murray, Parkes, the players ...the lot These players are tw*ts
The club have been rotten to the core for a long time. Certainly since Fraeye took over, and probably since the Peeters/Luzon fiasco.
Amos, easily MOM. Dijksteel is not a FB. DaSilva is great going forward, defensively vulnerable. Bauer and Pearce are decent stoppers, full stop. JFC is not a patch on Kashi at DM. Reeves is a decent midfielder. Kai-kai and Zyro lack any motivation. Fosu can't do it on his own. And Bowyer is a fledgling manager.
Bowyer got the tactics badly wrong today. You can’t play actoss and out from the back with passers as bad as Pearce. And sticking with Zyro & KaiKai will ultimately cost him his job.
On a positive note..... the U18's beat Hudders 5-1 this morning ..... Harry Kane is claiming all 5 of our goals
