Afternoon All

Going to have to keep the match thread short and sweet today - too much to do and not enough time to do it.

Millwall away - a fixture usually met with not much expectation because of some reason TC hasn't mentioned in the last few minutes, hours, days, weeks and months - but with the fortunes of both clubs being drastically different, it's a realistic possibility we could go to the Den and win!

No matter their position, they will be up for it, so don't expect an easy victory - though it's what I think we will get. I'd heard Buyens was suspended, though can't find anything to back that up. Two key decisions will be whether to recall Wiggins after injury and if TBH will start after getting back to the UK on Wednesday.

My Team:

Hendo
Solly - Gomez - TBH (if available) - Wiggins (bit hard on fox, who has improved)
JBG - Cousins - Diarra (if Buyens is suspended) - Eagles
Watt - Vetokele

Prediction 0-1 (JBG)

Gomez might be omitted. He has played three full competitive games within the last eight days for England's (unsuccessful) u-19 team.. Ben Haim has played two (losing) games as well, so we may see the return of Bikey. Remember we have another game on Tuesday so some rotation can be expected.

I believe Buyens is suspended for the next 2 games after picking up his 10th yellow card, but not sure if the deadline for 10 yellows has gone already

Show me the form book and I'll laugh! I go into this with minimal expectations. Really, this should be one way traffic, but derbies don't often go to form (there's our hope) and the form here is Millwall win. I hope to be on the beach following this.

Face it Super, if the positions were reversed, we would be dreading this. Against another team in their position, we'd be going there hoping for a win (you can't say 'expecting' with Charlton).
But this fixture is different.....

According to the OS, Ben Haim has a hamstring strain and will not be in the squad. Jackson and Harriott are also not in the Squad. It is touch and go whether Wiggins makes it. My team

Henderson
Solly, Gomez. Johnson, Fox
Gudmundsson, Diarra, Cousins, Bulot
Vetokele, Watt

Subs Dmitrovic, Bikey- Amougou, Lennon, Lepoint, Eagles, Church, Wiggins

I hope Gomez is OK for 90 minutes after playing 3 full games for the U-19's. Pretty much agree with Dickp's team except maybe Church for Igor.
We can get a draw out of this, which will at least make it honours even for the season, and will be another nail in Millwall's coffin.
0-0 or 1-1.

Gomez should be ok, he's been in and around the team this season so should still be relatively fresh.

If the fans are as dejected as we're lead to believe - a good atmosphere from the away end will help spur us on. I'm still going for the away win.

Does anyone know of any feeds for today? Doesn't look like it's on the radio at all? Preferably not Matchday Live.

@CAFCofficial: Charlton starting XI: Henderson; Solly, Fox, Gomez, Johnson; Gudmundsson, Diarra, Cousins, Eagles; Vetokele, Watt. [HASHTAG]#cafc[/HASHTAG] [HASHTAG]#CAFCLive[/HASHTAG]

@CAFCofficial: Subs: Dmitrović, Bikey-Amougou, Bulot, Wiggins, Church, Lennon, Lepoint. [HASHTAG]#cafc[/HASHTAG] [HASHTAG]#CAFCLive[/HASHTAG]

Can't argue with that team except maybe that Bulot has been in his best form recently. I'm glad Fox has kept his place even though Wiggins is fit. I wonder what has happened to TBH? We know he's fit, and now he appears to be behind Lennon in the pecking order.

PS: just heard TBH has a hamstring strain.

Tal Ben Haim returned from Israel with a hamstring strain. Luzon mentioned it on the OS.
Bulot has just returned from International duty.

30 mins. Straight red for Solly for handball. Penalty. Henderson saves from Gregory.

It's all Millwall. Eight shots to our one.

Bikey on for Eagles, who has hardly been involved.

HT. 0-0. We have been battered (physically and metaphorically) throughout, but I suppose Millwall lack the quality to cash in on their dominance. Problem is in midfield where JBG and Eagles (when still on) won't compete physically and Diarra is not very mobile. Cousins is being overrun. Watts and Vetokele have the beating of their defence on the rare occasions they receive a pass so we could snatch a goal or two.

Millwall 13 goal attempts to our 3 (none on target).

With Solly out for three games, big mistake to ship Wilson out.

Morrison back for Birmingham and they start winning again.
