http://www.ealinggazette.co.uk/spor...s-permanent-move-for-qpr-star-64767-29806576/ slightly off topic but he looked decent today.
Interesting re hogan. I'm not sure if his contract is up at the end of the season, but I'm sure any move for him would be a fair old whack to a league one club. Without reading in to this too much- I wonder if the powers that be are ready to back CP that little bit more in January to ensure promotion?
Having witnessed my first ever Charlton away victory first hand (at the 6th attempt) I thought I'd share my review of the players... Hamer (8) Looked so solid in the air, made 2 key saves and his distribution was good. Solid game from a solid goalkeeper. Wiggins (6.5) Good defensive play, and flashes of his attacking composure again today but suffered with lack of passing vision, as alot seemed to today. Morrison (9) My man of the match. Won every header, won every tackle. Bossed Taylor around when he made a mistake and seems to me to be the better candidate for vice captaincy. Good attacking play as well, including one great moment when he skilled his way through 4 players. Taylor (7.5) Solid defensive work again Solly (7) Safe at the back and his crossing was very dangerous. Needs to develop his relationship with Green further, but this is fast improving and is proberly more to do with Green than Solly. Jackson (6) Didnt do alot for me, and just didnt provide the width he needs to, but again this might be more down to the fact the game passed the central midfeild by. Hughes (5) Poor, game passed him by albeit without lack of trying. Lacked the pace needed today. Hollands (5.5) A tad to annonamous Green (7) Best midfielder by far, looked composed, skillful and delivered some very dangerous crosses. Assist Kermo (7) A good shift from the big man and played a part whenever we did look dangerous BWP (7) Got his goal and kept up his concentration despite lacking supply The subs didnt have much time to make an impact, Ephraim looked a little unfit which is to be expected, and I should mention Waggstaff for going on 1/2 late game dribbles that resulted in free kicks that took some pressure off in the closing stages. Fans (10) Great following, superb noise and great banter with the meger support from Brentford. Now whilst my ratings seem low, they are in comparrison to the previous 4/5 games and are by no means a dig at the players. They were never going to be able to show what they are fully capable in a game like Brentford away, so well done the boys. Great scenes at the end and a great day out. On a final note, best wishes to Brentford's right-back, who looked pretty beat-up after colliding with Lee. COYR Japan
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
I'm lost too, Mike - wrong board, I think. Thanks for the ratings, Japan. Good to hear the faithful were in fine voice again.
MT and Stu - you miss my point. For those who like a punt, opposing Parky is like printing money. We know different, but bookies seem to think he is a "bright young manager" and Bradford being a "big" club always means they are a false price and always worth opposing at decent odds. That is my point and BTW - I now love Parky, he is making me fortunes. Backing the Addicks and opposing Bradford - easy double every time
So strange that people have mentioned this. I was reading this forum this morning on the train and thought ChartonPat had a touch of the A2C about them...
Anyone else less than impressed by Ephraims cameo? Played with his back to goal too much, not great for a winger, misplaced every pass and didn't dribble with the ball at all. I'm aware he's still not match fit so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, after-all he is very highly rated by QPR fans.
