After deleting my membership on ITTV I doubt if I would be welcome back.

It is a good forum with dozens of decent fans posting there who love their football. It was the first forum I ever posted on and was the only one for quite a while. But I think it would be unfair to other members there, me keep coming along and staying for a while, then leaving again over something or other. I've done that at least three times now.
Granted it does seem unfair of me to single out Reams as the reason I left (again).
He has never threatened me personally. Indeed he was generous to set up a sub-forum just for my stats posts; I didn't ask him to do that. A few sharp words during the occasional disagreement is the most hostility we've ever exchanged. I've no complaints about our relationship.

My feelings about the issues I have tend to come and go.
Sometimes the things he occasionally posted about very controversial figures (Roland, KM, Rick Everitt etc.) would just pass me by as heat-of-the-moment stuff. Then again at other times they really unsettled me and I felt I could not let them pass.
Speaking up about them did not really achieve anything apart from sour the atmosphere for a while. I would tend to brood on those things until I felt I could not be part of it anymore.
Sometimes after a few weeks or months away I would go back, because it is an enjoyable forum for the most part.
But I cannot keep on doing that. That was why I deleted my membership last time, not just left it idle.
I felt it was better to leave permanently.

In the end I can express my opinions on it, but I can't expect the owner of a forum that has enjoyed much success for well over a decade to change anything about what he posts on it or way he runs it, just because I'm not comfortable with it.
But it seems I'll never really be comfortable there, despite all the good things about the place.
So best we go our separate ways I guess.

    Apologies gents for straying off-topic.
I felt it right to give Chris's question a full answer.

I expect Royston will reappear eventually.
He may be having a stressful time at work right now.
This virus business has sucked a lot of the fun out of everyday life, and replaced it with worries and troubles to overcome - and a very uncertain future.

Lardiman, reams didn't even know you had left and I'm sure others haven't too but in a nice way meaning there are plenty posting over there and if somebody doesn't for a while it isn't noticed.

He said you are welcome to rejoin anytime as you were a great poster who chipped in with an appreciated contribution. Get yourself back over there pal.

    That is nice to know.

One of my regrets upon leaving was not continuing to contribute with stats updates.
I do these just for the pleasure of doing them, and am happy to post them wherever they are welcome (also happy for anyone to copy or screencap them for use wherever they wish).
By no longer completing or updating them on ITTV, I did feel I was letting down the members of that forum who might have enjoyed viewing them; members who had nothing to do with the reasons I decided to leave.

Perhaps my decision was too hasty.
I'll think over my position, and probably apply for membership again shortly.
