The Squad wasn’t thin, I think we only needed a proven goal scorer (the most important position & hardest to fill), it was/is full of injury prone players/players who’s heart isn’t in it.
I read from the official website that after Johnnie Jackson's first penalty was saved, the next two Charlton players to step up were Stephy Mavididi and Reeco Hackett-Fairchild. No disrespect, but were two teenagers really the best choices for taking penalties so early? Surely some of the more experienced players could have stepped up.
