I heard the complete opposite regarding Gus. Whilst everyone thought it was inevitable he was off to Sunderland - Gus refuted it saying it's better they not work together. Gus also encouraged Diego to stay two summers previous when arsenal etc first started showing interest. If Diego hadn't underwhelmed at 'udders and MK then I don't think he'd have even contemplated joining the RD regime again. Realistically his career is as good as dead at West Ham - he's now playing for whether he starts next season in the Chanpionship or League One. Something he appears to be struggling with.
Poyet has gone from hero to zero ...he went from the best prospect I'd seen for years and one of the if not the main reason we stayed up to bein for want of a better word ...useless obviously move to the prem went to his head thought he was big time and now he's a journeyman
Is Motta an actual signing or another "on loan" player? If we do get the drop I hope that we keep: Jorge Teixeira, Motta and Bauer (providing he's fit and stays it) out of the Doucebag signings... Birdshit, Sarr and god knows who else can p*** off. Then again, don't really care, considering I "probably" won't be at The Valley next season.
Also, I don't think we're going to win guys. Call me a defeatist already, but on Saturday we played the most out of form team in the league and managed a win. Brentford have won, one of their last six prior to the game with us. We struggled on set pieces. The only benefit is we managed to score more than we conceded in this instance. We're playing an MK Dons team who have had 2 draws, 2 wins and 2 losses, who have beaten a strong Derby and QPR side (away from home), and a draw against Middlesbrough. They're going to be the stronger of the two sides in this match, and they'll take quite a lot of distance shots.
He's signed till the end of the season. I hope we can convince him to stay on - he has to look at the fact he couldn't find a club for the best part of 9 months when considering his options. How he fits in with Solly remains to be seen though.
Maybe he's going to move Solly into the midfield? Then again, thinking about hindsight they should have kept Wagstaff and Solly. Them two always seemed to own the wing.
I hope not - Solly doesn't have the knee's for middle of the park. It's hard to know if he doesn't get forward like he once did because he's being told not too, or if it is the injuries taking a further toll on him.
I hear about worse rugby injuries than football ones, and they still managed to continue to play on for their careers (unless of course their injury lands them in a wheelchair, as has been done before).
Motta could play in front of Solly. He is a better full back than Fox on one leg, so maybe try him over the other side of the pitch as well. Its all pie-in-the-sky though - Motta won't want Div.3 football next season.
Diego Poyet, the man they call the shadow.... as he is a mere shadow of the player he once was. On to the game. 0-0 half time, and sounded like a por performance so far. Half time in a mst win game and we haven't mustered a shot on target. To rb salt into the wound, Watt has scored for Blackburn.
Appalling. Makienok is a disgrace. How no one on the bench could spot that Mak was a huge blockage up front is ridiculous and sack worthy. Poyet was scared of the match; he hid when we had the ball, stood off of tackling and even missed two free headers because he seemed to wince out of it. Gudmundsson provided 3 or 4 of the worst set pieces you will ever see. How hard is it for a team to just put some crosses or shots in? Their keeper made no saves at all. Apologies for the ramble; minor praise should go to Motta and Suk Young, I will enjoy watching Motta until the end of the season. Realistically that's us done.
Well these Belgian ****ers have taken something I used to enjoy watching and going to, and turned it into something I hate. It was gutless performance, Riga is not the man. The lot should piss off before they damage our league one prospects
