You're in a bit of a ****ish mood at the moment Candy Man (best change that name with the whole Rolf Harris thing going around). What's up?
Cmon filberto we all know how unpredicatable this league is. Just because a team has had 3-4 bad results like charlton means nothing. Anyone can beat anyone on their day. Bolton bottom of the table ... I rest my case. 10 points from 15 good start however you look at it
Speaking from a Charlton perspective, I thought your team emerged with a lot of credit yesterday. Your keeper was exceptional. The ref could be politely called a "homer"...had we had the brunt of his poor decions, we wouldnt have been happy. Fair play to your support, good humoured even after the game.
Good luck with the rest of the season (apart from when you come to ours obviously ) Leicester fans have a lot of time for Powell, not quite so much for Morrison and absolutely none for Kermit
Morrison did very well for us. You couldnt tell he came from non league and did appear to have any rough edges unlike Vardy when he came from non league.
Robbie Savage thinks your **** He said what we all been saying. Your poor set of strikers will cost you dear
I think people are underestimating Danny Graham. He's shown he can score at this level with Swansea and was played in a Centre Forward position as opposed to his favoured out-and-out striker position at Sunderland. We have played Chelsea (A), Norwich (H - 10 men for 60 minutes) and Manchester City (A). I think it's incredibly naive to slate any of our players performances (City fans or not) based on them 3 games as they're about as difficult as it could get. He took his chance well and looked good up front against City did Graham and Sagbo looks strong, pacey and an aerial threat which is 3 traits that are very useful to have in the Premier League. Aluko is our spark and flare that will help create the chances, not to mention both Brady and Elmohamady's quality of deliveries and often chipping in of goals. We'll be fine IMO. Especially if we play with the same heart and determination as we did against both Chelsea and Manchester City. If we get in both Gedo and Rodallega/Bendtner today, we'll do fine until January to further strengthen. EDIT: I take your criticism and opinions with a pinch of salt because you have a rather bad history of predictions when it comes to us. Your condescending view of Alan McGregor looks pretty embarrassing considering he's made some World Class stops. That added to the fact that we 'wouldn't get Promoted'.
McGregor may have made a few decent saves but he has made some cock ups aswell. Punching Torres in the face and letting Lampard's free kick in Pointless having a keeper who will make world class saves and then let easy things in. You might aswell have signed Kevin Pressman You cant draw your way to safety in the Prem
Not every keeper is flawless... Joe Hart, Casillas, Buffon, Neuer etc all make mistakes and let easy goals in. The Torres incident was very early into his competitive debut away at Stamford Bridge so you could put that down to nerves. I wonder if Real Madrid fans claim that they won't win the League because Casillas makes the often mistake... In all fairness, McGregor has been in our top 3 performers every game IMO. Amazing save against Norwich with the Van Wolfswinkel header from close range that arguably won us the game and some good stops against Manchester City. And we haven't drawn yet... So your last sentence is both confusing and irrelevant.
Everytime I have seen McGregor he has done something stupid. Of the keepers you list I think Joe Hart is over rated but the rest very rarely make mistakes You cant score goals for Toffee. You struggle in this league and you have hardly sorted your problems out. Of all your signings the only 2 I rate are Huddlestone and Livermore but do you really think TH will stick around if you get relegated? I can see you drawing alot more games then you win so I just dont see how you will stay up
To be fair to Hull, they've had two of the toughest fixtures of the season already and only lost by two goals. I thought they'd get murdered. Let's hope that they can keep most of their results down to 2-0 defeats.
... pretty easy to do to be fair.... ... I saw him play for Swansea a couple of times last season Candy ... he huffed and he puffed and he worked the opposition defenders, but he didn't cause the goal netting any real anxiety .. watching the game against Man City it was virtually the same script ... in the Prem you need to take the chances when they arrive because if you don't the opposition will - which is exacttly what happened to you guys against Citeh in the end. Huddlestone, Koren and Chester were all excellent IMHO and Aluko looked a handful (but should have at least hit the target with that first half chance) ... but goalscoring looks like it could be your achilles heel at the moment ... ... being honest I think Danny is a pretty good Championship striker (because you get more time and the defenders are poorer) but he hasn't convinced me that he can really cut it in the Prem wherever he has been ... only time will tell of course.
Since as in Tom Huddlestone signed a 3 year deal, I think if left with relegation, we'd get quite a bit of money back from him anyway. We can't score goals for toffee, and I don't think you'll find one Hull City supporter who would disagree with you, but we make up for it by being solid at the back and conceding very few. We have Gedo, Boyd, Aluko, Graham, Sagbo and Brady who can all play as strikers with Proschwitz and Fryatt both messing up their opportunity for a pop in the first time at Leyton Orient. I'm pretty sure we'll go back in for Long in January.
