Gonna go for a 2-1 win tomorrow - simply because the stats say otherwise and we seem to enjoy winning these type of games where the other lot are clear favourites. All depends who comes back from injury/suspensión and if Bow can convince the defence to stop leaking goals,
Shirliff an all time Charlton legend Redfearn was useless in his one season for us. A rare bad signing by Curbs.
It will be a true test tomorrow against a decent in form side, of where we are actually at. One point from Luton, Scunny & Coventry isn't good enough.
What are the predictions for tomorrow’s real attendance ? In recent times we have had 16,000- 18,000 plus for Kids for a Quid. Tomorrow, I reckon 10,000.
Dreadful attendance today, considering it’s Kids for a Quid Barnsley have brought over 1,000, but the attendance looks no more than 8,000 in total. Staggering.
That was easy. Barnsley must be having a bad day at the office, because if they are one of the best teams in this league then the 3rd tier is even poorer than I thought it was. Aside from a few slick moves they have offered nothing. Charlton are faster, hungrier, stronger, sharper. Wish we could play this lot every week, they are in our pocket. The early goal set things up perfectly for our counter attacking game. This is ours to throw away now. Barnsley know they are being outfought and outplayed. We should have turned our attacking pace into at least one more goal. 1-0 HT
A well deserved victory. The lads kept their concentration, and Barnsley had no answer for our disruption their play and our pace breaking on them. We wanted it more and they couldn't mix it with us. For once Charlton saw out a game in a professional manner and were always in control. Well played Lee Bowyer and the team. Attendance about 9,500 maybe 10,000. some kids for a quid making up the numbers...
My 2-1 prediction came fairly close. Happy they didb't get a goal as it would have made the last few minutes tough to follow.
A decent victory against a tidy but toothless Barnsley side. My £1 entrance fee was well spent, as the midfield in particular performed well, and Bielik was back as an upgrade on Sarr. Sad to see the Pole limp off again in the second half. The attendance was given as 12,400 ...in reality it was well below that. A sobering reminder that even for a nicker, loyal fans will not come back so long as Duchavirus remains.
Respect where it is due for doing Dushitelet out of the dollars, BUT keep your beak shut regards me doing the same on the non-league front. Oh yeah, I did the concessions again today before you start.
Excellent display against a good Barnsley side. Grant took his goals very well. Bielik was great in the centre of defence. I think he just had cramp. Taylor was a thorn in their side all game. Steer also seemed very solid.
