Another must win.
We could be down to 4th when we play Wednesday.
Charlton are still not safe, they are 6 points above Oxford so they will be desperate for a win.

I will go for a 2 1 win for us.

Bit of a head versus heart on this one. Interesting comments from McKenna acknowledging it’ll take an incredible effort to get top two. I wonder if we’re emotionally/physically knackered, and three away games now in quick succession. I’ll have to go 1-1 and see where that leaves us.

It'll still feel quite laboured, but surely we can get this one over the line., but Millwall Southampton and Boro will win theirs too so nerves will still be jangling.

1-0

2-0 win.

Charlton have nothing to play for, they may set up defensively or may just go for it. Either way, I think we run out comfortable winners.

Clarke to start because Jaden is useless away from home.

Not wishing to contradict you Sans, but if Oxford beat Wrexham on Tuesday they will only be 3 points behind Charlton.
Fingers crossed Oxford get beaten.

I was tempted to wait until Tuesday night’s games, as both Oxford and Leicester have tough home games against play off chasing teams (Wrexham and Hull respectively). Two defeats for the struggling teams there would massively relieve the pressure on Charlton and should help us.

Out of the teams in the current bottom nine, we’ve only beaten one of them away - and that was basement boys Sheffield Wednesday. We’ve drawn to Stoke and Blackburn and had four defeats to Leicester, Oxford, Portsmouth, and Preston!

Our away form has improved this calendar year after the January business, so hopefully that can help get us over the line against Charlton. We have a habit under McKenna to bounce back after defeats in the Championship, so fingers crossed that continues Wednesday night.

Charlton are in poor form - no wins in six and three consecutive home defeats. This should be three points for us if we’re serious about automatic promotion. I’m going for a surprisingly emphatic result and performance, 3-1 Ipswich.

Gaffer remains quietly confident, and gotta be a decent away win, which sets up nicely for the last few games.

2-0 Town.

Have to say, the Championship is so much more exciting, unpredictable and enjoyable than the holy grail of the Prem!

What the hell was that from Azon? Misses a brilliant opportunity from six yards out after a good team move. And just now Walton almost completely misses the ball and O’Shea bails him out.

We need to keep at them and keep the tempo high. Furlong needs to stop slowing the moves down and Philogene and Mehmeti need to get involved more and keep the ball better.

1-1! Furlong with his first goal of the season. To be fair to Philogene, superb work from out wide and making the move work. Matusiwa tees up Furlong for a fine finish from just outside the box.
