Just got back from the valley and have to say your boys were dreadful wasted time as soon as you scored played into our hands and were dreadful . We were there for the taking but second half Cardiff were abject we are nothing special but your second half display was the worst I've seen from an away team at the valley for a couple of seasons. I can see why your fans do not favour Slade you will be in this league with us next season without a doubt
I totally agree with you pal - and that's if we're lucky. The best we can hope for with this clueless pair at the helm is mid table mediocrity.
Great turn out from your fans both in noise and numbers 1.00 pm on Boxing Day big ask for your boys Goodluck for the season you deserve better
Cheers pal - I watched you guys in your opening game against Brentford because our opener at Blackburn was on the previous Friday night. I said at the time that your were both very poor sides and we should have no problem picking up 6 points off each of you. How wrong could I be!! Both you and Brentford have improved out of all proportion in the same way we've gone backwards. Solskjaer was hopeless, but this Slade guy is as bad if not worse (if that's possible). In fact I'll go as far as to say he could possibly take us down. Good luck to you as well - Charlton supporters were always amongst my favourite bunch amongst the London clubs. What your lot showed today after having a man sent off is something we don't possess at the club - and that's spirit.
Mike's comment about us wasting time as soon as we scored sums up Slade's approach. I have advocated giving him time but today's effort was as poor as the last 3 games - albeit we scraped a point from this one. What has he got against trying to play off the front foot? We gain an advantage by scoring, see it enhanced by them having a player sent off and then back off and invite them to have a good go at us as we like showing how good our desperation defending is. I really thought Slade was going to give us a pressing game and test the mettle of the opposition. We have done exactly the opposite. It worked to an extent with Malky because we had better players and were well equipped to hit other sides on the break. We no longer have the ability to do that. I fear for us on Sunday if Watford have their shooting boots on. I don't think we are at risk of going down but unless there is a major improvement its going to be a dire second half to the season and i don't look forward to it.
Blue...........it seems as though we agree to a point. Today we were lucky to get a point as Charlton hit the post twice after they were down to ten men. I agree we need to play higher up the pitch and press the opposition. However, I've only ever advocated the sacking of two managers - OGS and Slade but while Slade is in control of tactics, unlike you, I think we may well be in danger of going down or at least have a nervous end to the season. I'm also unsure of your comment that we had better players under Malky. The present squad seems poorly motivated, and very poorly managed. How can decent players for other clubs such as Le Fondre and Fabio be so poor for us? Clearly the manager and his rigid tactics are at fault. Under a different manager the present group ought to be capable of at least getting into the play-offs. Sadly Tan thinks Slade is doing a good job, according to the recent interview on Sky, so I fear for us, not only against Watford but for the rest of the season.
Slade "at a loss to explain it"..........really? http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/cardiff-city-boss-russell-slade-8348230 This guy inspires little confidence in me saying that - how must his players feel when you've got such a prat in charge? Slade is going to take us on a journey to nowhere and he's already started - we're going down that road already. Slade (and Young) out, Pulis in with his own crew in tow.
