How many more games do we have to waste before the Regime [Riga] accepts that Reza is not cut out for British Championship football ? He reminds me of David Mooney with an alice band. He is totally ineffective and lightweight, and completely unable to impose himself on Championship standard centre halves. It was like playing with ten men on Saturday.

On the game itself, it should not take 39 mins to have a shot at goal in a must win home match, against average opposition. What were they practising in training all week? To adopt the old Dave Bassett team talk at Wimbledon, "lots of f*****g crosses and shots from kick off" should be our mantra. Watching Leicester press Arsenal with 10 men for 90 min, and then Spurs do the same to Man City for 90 min yesterday, tells me that our players are both lazy in some cases, or just unfit.

We should be running ourselves into the ground in the first 60 min of a home match, and then using our subs.

There is no excuse for only starting to play with ten mins remaining.

Totally agree. We only came alive in the last five minutes of each half; only had one real opportunity to score. Against an average team, we were definitely second best on Saturday.

There's a lot of players in that squad who are not fit to play for our club, and should be moved on to their level (Sunday League). Belgians should piss off too

We are the Aston Villa of the Championship.... players who are on good wages who know they can demand a transfer if/when we get relegated.... once again the blame for this can be laid on our (european) scouting team... :( .... as we obviously do not have a British one!

Most of them will be gone. Come end of the season:
    - Fanni, Sanogo, Makienok and Poyet will all be released following their "successful" loan spell (spin by the club)
    - Gudmundsson, Reza, Sarr, Berdigch, Kashi, Ba, Cabellos will all be sold as they proclaim they are the cream of Europe and refuse to play in such a low league
    - Vetoleke will be injured and Tucadean will still be on the books

Providing he sells at the end of the season, we get an owner and manager who can pull a Chris Powell, it's really not looking good.

I'm wondering if we have a scouting system at all. Now we've resorting to signing players who have barely played this season, or if so, only in India. How can you scout a player who doesn't play?

Nobody seriously imagines that the likes of Johnson, Williams, Motta, Vaz Te and Fanni were actually scouted. You can't scout players that are either thousands of miles away, or never play football. All of the above were no doubt offered to Meire by agents, with the magic word "cheap" clinching each deal.

I give us a no better than 20% chance of survival now - next season I don't think Riga will be here - rebuild the Club around Jackson as player manager, and a group of hungry and enthusiastic kids plus Solly and Hendo, that our remaining customers can RELATE to.

Pope hasn't signed a contract extension though, I expect him to be gone too. Probably Mitov will play. Since we seem to have done away with the quaint old-fashioned idea of scouting players, you have to wonder what sort of team we will have next season in L1. Roland says he is not planning for it, which is probably true because he doesn't know how to. I can't imagine this lot seriously planning for promotion back up to the Championship, another relegation is far more likely. Maybe next season Charlton and Blackpool fans can unite in a protest against mad/bad owners? Now that would be a highlight for me.

I'm not sure China, there are times this season that by supporting Charlton we seem to be Customers of some sort of macabre pantomime <ok> detailing the death of Charlton Athletic.
