Vol is either the slowest burn genius WUM of all time, or becoming so obsessive in his main effort, the sacking of Chris Powell that he has left reason behind, sighting the situation at Cardiff as the way forward to win his argument. I would invite you Vol, to ask yourself what gave that sad Nigel the opportunity to come on here and try to laugh at us? It was you. On Powell's return he was clearly embarrassed to fulfil the tunnel jump role but he did it to please the fans who have called for it ever since. I'm not sure about it myself but nobody laughs at us any more than at any club. Do you really think we're the only club with quaint little crowd pleasers which are a little cringeworthy? Think of some of the music teams run out to, goal music, fanfares for corners, stupid mascots, London Olympic style fan-cam/kiss cam nonsense, themed fan days. You seem on the one hand to hanker after a mythical terrace past, the men only, piss where you stand, no plastics 5000; while blaming Chris Powell for the low turn out on a train free Boxing Day. You are prepared to blame him for every defeat, or draw (some of which have been creditable), while removing all managerial responsibility when the team wins. If you could remain consistent in your argument then perhaps some of us naive, sentimentalist, Powell apologists might have more sympathy with them.
Good blog, good report, lots of sense, I commend it it anybody who hasn't read it. http://valleytalkblog.com/2013/12/27/4-thoughts-powells-bolton-caution-pays-off-vs-brighton-more/
