    My thoughts on the game.

    Pope- ****e,
    Gomez- excellent.
Bikey- started poorly, played ok but the miss was horrendous. I could have scored that.
Ben Haim- decent but gave away a stupid free kick, which cost us.
    Fox- Ordinary
    Gudmundsson- anonymous.
Solly- Was all over the pitch.
Cousins - Looked good when he went wide left and scored a good goal.
    Buyens- Steady
    Harriott- ****e
Vetokele- outnumbered, when are we going to get some help for him.

Sub Tucudean- I am better than him at sixty years old.

The first half was terrible, second half was better. But this was Blackpool FFS, we found another way of messing up. If we can't beat Blackpool who can we beat.
Can't be bothered to post anymore. Pissed off of Bexleyheath.

Not good enough. Why did it take til they went 2-2 before we went for it ?

What was Solly doing in midfield FFS ?

    Ratings

Pope 0. Shocking errors on both goals

Fox 3. Simply a dreadful passer of a football.

    Gomez 7. My MOM

    Ben Haim 5

Bikey 5. One of the worst misses ever, inexcusable.

    JBG 5

    Buyens 6

    Solly 6 in wrong position...

    Cousins 5 goal saved him

    Igor 5 not fit ?

    Harriott 4 headless chicken

Boos at the end. Fully ****ing deserved.

I thought solly was good in midfield, but why disrupt an already disrupted defense when avoidable?

I thought Solly was class, even out his usual position, Championship Phillip Lahm esc, was all over the pitch, but in a good way.

Why play Solly in midfield. He is a better full back on one leg than Fox.

Despair of Peeters Cautious Colin tactics today. Sit back at home against the bottom side, who didn't ave a shot second half.

Oh yeah, for sure Solly shouldn't have been in midfield, but I flet he did well. Fox was so bad.

    I know we don't have a 2nd striker, but why not have a 4-4-2?

    Pope
    Gomez, TBH, Bikey, Solly
    Wilson, JBG, Buyens, Cousins
    Igor, Tucudean/anyone else

Agreed. Solly sometimes played there for the U-18's but he's been so good recently why change ? Basically we shot ourselves in the foot today. When Blackpool got the free-kick I said it was a stupid one to give away but it should not be a dangerous position for us, we should have the defenders to deal with anything that came straight down the middle from that position. Well we didn't. Pope's temperament must be suspect, I've seen enough of him to know he's got the ability, but to have two howlers like that in one game which cost us a win must set him back to square one. I also thought Gudmundsson should have come off, he looks a shadow of the player he was at first, particularly disappointing considering that he was in the position I thought he'd excel at.
Gomez had a perfect game defensively, but don't ask him to get down the wing and get in crosses. It could be time for him to replace Ben Haim in his proper position, TBH's luck has run out, he's not getting away with his mistakes any more.

that was f'd up. our back 4 should have been our strongest back four. solly shouldnt have played in midfield at all. george or karlan should have started with harriotts on the wing. not a big fan of playing good players in wrong positions.

pope had a bad game. a 5 out of 10. people will score him worse, but, if we had been pressing for a third and not going sideways, backwards, we would not have been defending a free kick.

Apart from when we went 3-1 up against Derby has there been any other point this season where we've been more than 1 goal ahead? We sat back at 2-1 against a rubbish side and were punished, that's Peeters fault, way too negative. Pope had a stinker but he along with everyone else in the ground must have thought it wouldn't matter when the ball was played back for Bikey, if I had that chance 10000 times I'd score 10000 times. A stat I've heard is we have drawn the most games in Europe.

Solly did a fine job in midfield - harrying, pressing and keeping it simple.
Very impressed with Gomez - a real star for the future.
Harriott is simply not good enough.
Church needs to come in and help Igor with the donkey work.
We are an extremely ponderous side, and I'm finding it hard to stay motivated.
Bikey will not sleep well tonight.
    Atmosphere was dead.
Their second was a clear offside.
    Just ****e.

Earlier in the season Igor and Gudmundsson were our two best attacking players, but now look at them, pretty average at best, and that's worrying.

We are like a car that started the race quite fast but we are slowly running out of petrol with the finishing line some distance away. What we need is a pit stop and a top up with high grade petrol. If that happens we might finish the race strongly. If not we will cough and splutter and finish well down the field.

I have said we need a goalie and today I thought that was obvious. More glaringly obvious to me at least was the lack of leadership on the pitch. Someone has to take charge of Fox who simply looks like he shat himself. Gomez yes you can see he has quality but going forward he needs to make his decisions quicker. And double that for Harriot.

Yes should have won and probably would have if Bikey did not have an hour to think about side footing over the bar.

I thought Igor took too much abuse today, he got battered from the first minute. There was a moment in the second half where Igor got an forearm in the neck, he did not wince. i just thought that he wanted to get the game over today.

So you are winning at home against the bottom club. You've fought back from being a goal behind, got in front. What do you do next? Push on for a quality win by a couple of goals against a team who, while they are improving recently, are still poor, or do you behave like cowards, try to shut up shop in front of your own fans, surrender the initiative and the ball, and end up surrendering two vital points? Stand up Bob Peeters. That's you I'm talking about. I've already argued this week about needing several new (quality) players in january. I am now starting to wonder whether a new manager might not be a bad thing. I'm never one for calling for sackings (I'm sure Vol has fond memories of my defence of CP) but RD appears to be a man who changes managers on a regular basis, and this panic stricken football we are coming to rely on is simply not good enough. Yes there are injuries, but as has been pointed out previously, not nearly enough to justify today.

We find out in January whether Duchatelet wants to put his foot on the accelerator...or pull the handbrake up.

Peeters showed again yesterday what he thinks of Tucadean, Bulot and Wilson.
