Roland simply thought that the Championship was the same level as any other 2nd tier in the world, what simply is not the case, you have many players in this league who could make it in the top leagues across Europe, and RD just assumed because the Belgium 2nd division, as well as the dutch, spanish, Germany, Italian, French, divisions are poor he assumed the same as the Championship.
I agree. I think RD completely underestimated the Championship, which again concerns me seeming we are supposed to have this amazing scouting network.
Richard Murray was over the moon about this amazing European scouting network. Roland must have acted on their advice which means their misjudgement is largely to blame. In their fantasy world Thuram is an unbeatable barrier at one end, while Polish Pete slams them in every week at the other end. Sounds good, huh?
