Thinking positively - It's still entirely in our hands.

Thinking negatively - Our hands (the team in this metaphor) have no fingers (good gutsy players)

You could see tonight that Jackson really doesn't want to be playing in League 1. I could go on for hours about some of the inept players but as you all know I write a lot and I wouldn't want to wear some of the keys out by constantly typing 'SORDELL IS ****ING USELESS' over and over.

I'm worried that we peaked too soon with the initial good form post-Powell. Smacks a bit of that decent run we had when Pardew first took over (where we smashed West Ham). He was the last silver haired manager we had and we all know how that went.

The crowd were pretty good until the second goal then it went numb. A lady pensioner fan in front of me in the Lower West was screaming for Powell at the end. It was like the two minutes hate but borne out of blind devotion.

Ref was awful really bad we were inept Barnsley were the worst team I've seen down the valley since our promotion season yet we lost.
Poor poor team selection by the useless tinkerman dropping Morrison terrible decision along with Wilson . Admit Riga tree huggers the man is clueless nice bloke yes but clueless.

Nope and Morrow is one of the few characters in the team ... Wilson has been Mr Consistant of course if we'd won we wouldn't be saying this but reality is we didn't and we are saying it .
Tiredness just don't cut it for me NO EXCUSE we lost to a pile of poo

Love how quick you were to defend Sir Chris to the bitter end, yet you are now jumping on Roga's case after barely a dozen games ...with the same ****e players at his disposal.

Jose's decision to drop Wilson and play Harriott on the right was a shocker. Wilson and Solly is the dream team, and Harriott never plays well on the right. He got away with dropping Morro because we were never under pressure. Barnsley only had one chance all game and still scored twice. The game was there to be won, and Jose blew it.

Powell won six league games out of thirty, does that make him even more clueless? Riga has won four out of eleven, I would say on the scale of cluelessness that Powell is edging it at the moment.

I know this is a bit simplistic but could it be that our players are just not good enough? I think Mourinho would be struggling to get anything out of these players. You can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear.

The impact of Riga's arrival may have nicked us 6 points at Forest & Leeds. If those points turn out to be the ones that keep us up, it has been well worth it. It was also worth bolting the previous manager to put an end, once and for all, to the nauseating, cloying "I live in Bexley, but haven't forgotten my roots and still shop at Woolwich market once a month to prove it" middle class guilt that surrounded old Mr Tunnel Jump.

Despite everything, how some fans still yearn for a selfie with the poster boy for 6 wins all season !

Lets all have a look at Callum Messi just to realise what a great coach Chris P*****l was (nt)

When Harriott was subbed he had just moved over to the left and started to play well. I've been supportive of the managerial change, but Jose lost it last night. We could have been almost safe by now. Why why why why not play Wilson on the right?

Last night was our biggest game of the season, and Riga blow it! Dropping both morrow and Wilson whilst playing Harriott out of position and STILL PLAYING SORDELL killed us! If we had won last night we would have been up to 18th, given a boost to the players and fans and put pressure on those around us, instead we've blown our best chance to move away from the bottom 3, player confidence has taken a massive blow, fans have lost faith and the teams around will now fancy themselves to move above. We now NEED TO BEAT Bolton, and I just don't see how that will happen.
Riga's initial impact has long gone and simply just reverted us back to want we have all known all along, we're just not good enough! Selling Kermit, replacing him with sub-standard players and waiting too late to replace Powell with a manager who isn't much better or worse is the final nail in the coffin. You can't win games without scoring, and none of our team know who to do that on a regular basis, and those that did have gone.

The only plus I see now is starting again next season with a strong core of youth players, a starting line up with the likes of Pope, Fox, Lennon, Harriott, Pigott and Cousins/Poyet if we can keep them and a manger who knows what he is doing.

I've given up on this season, if you can't beat the teams around you then, well I think we all know the answer.

The thing is when Riga goes it'll be another nobody from abroad that we've never heard of pretty much guarantee that.
The shocking thing yesterday was the lack of passion apart from 10 mins before there second goal and the 5 mins of stoppage time and what's worse Barnsley were completely hopeless .
Truly shocking Hariott out of position Morrow same last game dropping two of our best players this season.. Or

    resting them yesterday.
The constant changes to the team every week a joke.
Barnsley lost their last two yet remained unchanged for last night a guess what they won.
Riga changes the team even if we win and the constant players are tired thing really gets on my tits .
    Sort it out FFS.

Jose said after the match "We have young players, so maybe it's the pressure of the situation".
I though Cousins had an excellent game, and Poyet not far behind him. It wasn't their fault we lost, and I hope this doesn't mean either of them will get dropped.

In all fairness Charlton have been dead for a very long time.

This is just a period of Riga mortis.

The only youth player who was struggling was Harriott, and that's because he was played out of his usual position! He he had started Harriott on the Left, Obika up front and Wilson on the right it would have been a different story! I agree cousins and Poyet both played well.

Maybe it's Jose who isn't coping with the pressure. I doubt if there was a single Charlton fan who looked at that starting lineup and felt pleased about it.

You have been very supportive of Powell who won six league games this Season yet you turn on Riga. Do you not think that is double standards? Both Managers have had a very difficult job, both Managers have made a number of mistakes in playing players out of position. We are in the position we are in because our squad is extremely poor and it has been further weakened by the selling of Kermy and Stephens.

The following players in our squad are not good enough for Championship football.
Evina, Harriott, Gower, Pritchard, Green, Cook, Holland, Church,Sordell, Obika, Reza, KOC, Thuram-Ulla, Polish Pete. That is a big chunk of our squad. Thankfully most of them will be gone in the close season no matter what division we are in. What we need is a cash injection from Roland to get us good experienced players mixed with the best players from our Academy. What we don't need are lazy mercenaries like Sordell. Let us see what happens in the close season.

Have to admit it would be bloody stupid or suicidal playing both Solly and Wilson at the moment... One has dodgy knees the other a damaged eye socket

Playing against a physical Barnsley side what do we then do if both had been injured...? Wilson has been playing out of his skin all season so far and the bloke probably did need a rest (even if he didnt want to admit it)... Having Solly back in the side gave him that benefit

And then even though the Easter period isnt as hectic as the Christmas period it certainly is for us this season... We've three matches in six days which is no different to when we had to play Brighton, Sheffield Wednesday and Ipswich so we have to find a way to stop burnout.

If we get to the Watford game one point clear of Relegation and win (Watford are looking at mid-table so their players will probably be thinking of their Holidays) then we're safe...

Both looked OK to me. None of us really know the state of Solly's knees, but it looked as though he was brought off because he's not yet match fit. Wilson's game didn't seem any different to usual. They clearly like playing together on the right, whereas Solly doesn't look at all happy with Harriott in front of him.
