Match previewed by guest Global Moderator Paul May from ITTV: "Looking forward to this one tomorrow night. I will be stopping off at my usual chip shop in Charlton Road before the game, and then pausing for seconds at the other chippy in Floyd Road. You dare call me a greedy fat bastard to my face. Can't wait to see the exciting new Charlton team, hopefully the 3 signings from Bournemouth will play alongside Louis Moult, Richie Towell and Matty Godden. My contact must have got it wrong on Will Grigg. Before I go in, I will stop to drunkenly abuse any boycotters or lifelong Charlton fans who deprive my Club of money, before brandishing the Millenium Lounge guest pass Katrien gave me, and walking in again for nothing. Always a pleasure to be greeted inside by Sue Parkes as we queue up for the vol au vents. I aspire to be a fan like her, who has got in for 28 seasons for free. After the game I have invited Jeddez and Seriously Red back to my suite at the Mandarin Palace Hotel in Canary Wharf. It was only £600 for the night - but my employer - my missus' old man - gave me 2 months wages up front. Anyone know if they show Pet Rescue on Netflix ?"
I wonder whether tomorrow evening might be a game too far wen it comes to the huge effort the team has been putting in. Not sure anybody can keep up that level for very long. 1-3 to Wigan ... hope I'm wrong (I usually am with predictions).
Gotta miss this one unfortunately, genuinely gutted after seriously enjoying saturdays game, gonna go for another 2-1 win
Gonna go for my usual sitting in the fence prediction and say 1-1. Both teams *should* be looking to make an example of the other so hoping it will be a back and forth game. Providing I get my house in order I'll be looking to attend tonight. Looking forward to my regular chippy.
Local open-mike for me tonight. I hope Solly is genuinely fit for tonight's game, but he covered a lot of ground on Saturday, galloping up and down the wing just like old times, so if he has to be rested so be it. If Kashi is rested Konsa can play his position pretty well, although he may be first choice for Solly as well. I'll join everyone else on the fence: 1-1 Official attendance: 10,000 Actual attendance: 7,500
As with saturday, this is very close to call. I'll go for a 1-1 draw, but as has been the case a lot this season, the first goal coud prove decisive. Despite the worries about the forward line and it's lack of cover, it's the defence that is leaking currently so I hope we can tighten up a little tonight. I'll go for an official attendance of 10,000 tonight, but at the moment, I'm concentrating on the pitch stuff.
I was thinking of going but I could not face the prospect of bumping in to van Gerwen again and being subjected to the smurf suit.
Seriously Red won't mind if the attendance is 6,000 tonight, just as long as it is up 500 on the corresponding fixture last season. SR seems to have a weird preoccupation with the number 500.
He's even taken to we have only lost one in about 13, taking into account our last six games of the 16/17 season!
SR would be happy with a crowd of 5,000 because the atmosphere is better with smaller crowds ..... this is a well known fact .... ask Millwall
