Not flip flop weather granted , but I am really looking forward to today up in the warm bosom of the north upper
Somebody (can't recall who) described Naby Sarr as a Charlton 'cult hero' the other day... A three game ban also means that Naby gets a nice Christmas holiday too this year. He won't be available to play again until New Year's Day.
0-0 HT Dire half , played in freezing pouring rain. Ajose & Fosu might as well not be out there. Neither side has created a thing so far.
According to the one match report on SSN during the first 45 minutes, Charlton were doing all the pressing. This report came a few minutes after AFC went down to 10 men.
@lardiman The entire 6 rows behind the Away dug out in the Lower West are empty today. No more than 300 in total in the Lower West today - it gets emptier by the game. Thank God attendance “don’t matter”...
I'm not surprised, its f**king horrible weather out there. Credit to you and the other fans who braved the conditions today I was not willing to freeze my backside off for two hours watching AFC Wimbledon stink the place out, then spend over two hours in London traffic in that weather after dark just to get home.
My friend wasn't well enough to go to Selhurst today, I was told too late to go to the Valley, so fair play to those who did. I might evenhave needed a bovril or two if I'd gone.
A nice touch at the start today, with Darren Pitcher’s daughter & granddaughter leading the players out. We then had a minutes applause for Pitch. Sarr was red carded after only 39 seconds for a stupid challenge, but even with ten men we comfortably held a very poor Dons side. The ever inept Trevor Kettle quickly evened things up by sending off the Wimbledon striker for simulation. Sad to say our free kicks, corners & decion making were poor today. Fosu was rubbish and Ajose all but invisible. Bowyer only had Djiksteel and Marshall to call off the bench, and the latter scored with a well drilled low shot. Wimbledon will go down and we stay in contention to go up. Hats off (or on) to the 7000 Charlton fans who braved those conditions today.
North upper busiest I have seen for a while , cracking atmosphere second half , this a fun season , fans and team building a decent bond , Taylor a real player for fans to have a love in with .. stupidest player pillock to get sent off but others said even with 11 we were comfortable.. all very enjoyable 6 out of 7 what’s not to like
Oh Ernie you got me on a technicality, stop smugly blowing yourself , as an ex Charlton fan I surprised you remembered
Potentially you have me f***** as an ex Charlton fan debate. A good shot there big bum but the Elf has a bullet proof vest and is going to reply with a machine gun.
