It won’t fit after today, I’ve just demolished a massive (free) work Xmas dinner three courses with a main dinner plate that looked like Mount Kilimanjaro plus at least 6 beers
Gammon slices....turkey....duck.....loads of parsnips (I haven’t eaten vegetables all year) ...lovely glass of port at the end ...all ‘on the house’ Off home now for a 12 hour sleep
Umm ? I do not remember signing any contract when I became a Charlton supporter in the early 1970's … I know I getting old but surely I would remember that? I am pretty sure that I am under no obligation to attend the Valley whatever the circumstances? I gave up my season ticket when the Belgian took over in protest at his handling of the Club as it was obvious to me that he was leading us into disaster and the longer he stays the bigger mess his successor will have to sort out (look at Leyton Orient and their mad owner) … as far as I can see the ONLY course of action open to me (and the little one!) is to refuse to financially support his regime until he sells. I have no problem with those who choose to attend matches... that is their choice … I have no problems with the Apologists, once again that is their choice …. I do have a problem with British MP's (of all parties) who seem to be driving the 'British Economy Train' directly at a cliff edge and all for personal gain. As far as I can see there is NO civic duty amongst MPs today just personal avarice.
pulled off was only joking I expect, but I agree that fans are not obliged to behave in any particular manner. if RD wants me to happy clap and cheer regardless of how he runs the Club then he can pay for my season ticket.
Looks like just me and possibly @DickPlumb or @Clb74 will be representing 606 at the Valley today then
Yes I will be there. I am getting the feeling back for Charlton that I lost at the beginning of the Season. I like Bowyer and Jackson and this group of players, with a couple of exceptions. They will give you 100 per cent. Some quality is missing but if the players give all they can, that is all supporters can ask for. I have given away my Welling season ticket, so won't be watching them again this season. Even though I have enjoyed watching Welling, it is not the same as going to the Valley and sitting in the same seats with my mate and his Family. I still want Duchatelet gone though and will participate in any protest.
In some ways I feel the wheel has turned full circle from when I started following Charlton in 1975. Then they had a team of honest triers (no fairies) with a tight-fisted owner, but still managed to get promoted.
For a while, yes, something like that. Nobody argued with Big Andy. BowJackson's contract runs out this summer though.
Morning all. Injuries, and the usual relegation threatened team who will pulliut pants down in front of everyone. I was going to go for a 1-1 draw today, but there's enough stuff against us that I'll go for another win. 2-1 to us.
Bitterly cold & raining here at the home of football. I foresee the lowest home attendance of the season today.
Taylor starts Absolutely shocking bench though - all kids & Marshall. Let’s hope we don’t get any injuries today.
