Apparently we have bid around 1m for the Bristol Rovers striker Clarke-Harris. Bristol Rovers want 2 Million.
Is the Fulham game on the 31st of January then?... our current transfer policy.. "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
I have a technical question about the last day of the transfer widow. It seems to be the case that if we sign a player and we want to include him in a match we are playing the following day, we must sign that player by 12:00 midday. Charlton are playing Barnsley at the Valley on Saturday 1st February. Does that mean if we make a signing on the last day of the transfer window (Friday 31st January) and we want that player in the team against Barnsley, we will have to complete the signing by 12:00 midday on Friday, and not 7pm GMT - when the window closes? If we do, the consequence is that signing players at the very end of the trasnsfer window (Friday evening) might not just affect the Fulham match tomorrow - it could affect the Barnsley game on February 1st... a match we absolutely MUST win.
