I think a lot of supporters felt sorry for him as the lack of support from his teammates was so poor and he said recently that it’s the first time since he arrived that he felt fully fit . The change in fitness levels throughout the team is quite apparent in recent games and the change in playing system with a settled side is starting to get results . The same could be said of Will Grigg who was asked to fulfil a role which he is not suited to and I think that is why people were a bit more tolerant , he was never a target man and never will be . Hats off to Charlie he seems to have turned a corner let’s hope he stays injury free though at least Phil Parkinson has had the foresight to bring in Kyle Lafferty as back up just in case .
Charlie is looking much better of late Just wish he had a bit of skill it would make him much better His good at holding and bringing others into the game
I think what’s clear with Wyke, he’s always had support within the stadium, lads who go to the match see the absolute graft he puts in constantly, it’s just the stop start injuries that have cost him. He’s an absolute bastard for whoever’s defending against him, with or without him scoring. His value to the team is massive. Second goal yesterday was lovely, but 2 or 3 times in that one move it was kept alive as Wyke bullies folk to keep the ball. I like him, glad he’s got the wind behind him now.
