I'm not convinced you're right there mate.
In my experience, close up, and by watching the last Tory government I'd say there are definite traits.
You'd probably call Boris Johnson a Tory to his core, everything from his background, his upbringing, his education is pure Tory.
I think it's fair to say he's arrogant, thinks he automatically knows better than the hoi polloi and believes his 'charisma, eloquence and humour' are more valuable than hard graft, competence and encouragement. That's Methven, Johnson and their ilk in a nutshell in my opinion ...
