Shocking.
I didn’t agree with much of what he said, but as soon as you use violence to attack someone you disagree with then not only have you become a criminal, but uou e lost your argument and dragged your ‘movement’ into disgrace.

American politics are now starting to show their true colours as the Civil War is alive and well. Kirk was mainly known for getting the young voters out for Trump and although I hate everything about his philosophies this should not happen to anyone with an opinion or an ambition to pursue a political career. I hope all of the younger population who listened to his words spreading the gospel according to Trump are re-thinking their choice and the world havoc he caused. Apparently all of the U.S.A. are praying for the family and I find that offensive when if you truly want to stop this unabated violence surely you need to limit gun ownership. Canadians are staying away from the U.S. aftter the election of Donald Trump due to the harrassment of the border agents especially the searching of computers etc for any comments on the President which will land you in serious trouble.

Despite all my criticism my thoughts are with Kirk's wife and young children at yet another shocking example of American madness but regrettably these scenarios will never change until The U.S.A. does sometning about guns. <rose>

That’s the fanatical left for you

They claim a moral superiority over the rest of us

They claim inclusion, but are neverl willing to actually have a grown up debate about anything, and they resort to this sort of thing as it’s all they have to offer

Their agenda is hate

The guy had abhorrent views, however no reasonable, sane person, would condone anyone being killed for airing their opinions, left or right. it’s not a left or right thing, it’s about decency, most people are decent regardless of whether they hold left or right views. If you allow it to be turned into a left or right issue you are completely missing the point.

Politicians like Lammy and Starmer don’t help when they go around branding people far right or Nazi
It puts dark ideas in some people’s heads
Charlie Kirk wasn’t a politician, he championed free speech which we should all enjoy providing it doesn’t incite violence

A minute ago you were were saying and I quote:

Free speech needs to prevail even for people who don’t like it

which is it?

I don’t know if any of you have watched his debates in American colleges and also the one he did in Cambridge University, I have and I disagree with him on every subject and I found many of his views abhorrent, but I absolutely would defend his right to state his views

He went around American colleges and he even came to Cambridge university and literally held debates about his views, with students that held opposite “lefty” views.

IF he was killed for his views then surely it’s a time for all sections of political opinion to pull together. And not get into name calling of their political opponents, or else the radicals that want to try to stop free speech, on either side have won.

The poster is highlighting the demonisation of individuals. Demonisation that can lead to? Cancelling, dehumanising and frequently on the progressive left violence. The intent of demonisation is not to free individuals, or respect them its to delegitimise and subjugate.

you comparing a joke to being called a nazi or far right?? the nazis put my mrs family in death camps!!
Name calling, especially in a political context, is never a joke, it can lead to serious consequences.

I’m sorry to hear about your Mrs family, those camps were absolutely disgusting, I hope we’ve learned enough to never allow anything like them to happen ever again.
