Powell was an odd sort of guy,somewhat eccentric to say the least. He was probably genuinely surprised at the hatred his views created. He was really an academic. It's generally thought that he had a homosexual affair with the poet A.E. Housman. So when you consider it all he was a pretty odd sort of cove. As for "Rivers of Blood". i belive the islamic faith is the single biggest threat in the world today, how can you reason with people who want to take the world back to the middle ages,treat all women as third class citizens,enslave anyone who does not agree with thier religon and have a ethos of total ,unreasond hatred? you simpley cannot. i saw a muslim women in syria on the news who was overjoyed because she had given her ten year old son to isis to fight and when asked about the possibility of him being killed,said she hoped very much he would be! these people are from a different planet to us
