Hard to know how much effect Ferdinand could have had over Austin staying. If anybody had made the right offer (for both club and player) he would surely have gone, but maybe the refusal to budge on price and the knowledge that we weren't desperate to sell were significant. I do get the feeling, though, that SLF has been a major factor in 'New Rangers'.
