Nope But threads like this where people say they're warming to him are surely an indication of what's going down. Where is his statement on the (reported) 254 serviceable pensions he's inherited from the TUPE transfer? Is it not alarming that he wouldn't name his investors but he's willing to take pot-shots at absolutely anyone? His statement yesterday said that his club have "never been members of the SPL" but won't allow the SPL to strip them of titles???? He had a go at the SPL (and alluded to Celtic being behind the EBT investigation) and people (on this thread) are lauding him for it. You're right to be wary (although, he may well get the club back into the big time then sell to a consortium that makes him money AND benefits Rangers) but dropping your guard because he has a go at the right people and can smell the right cause celebres to jump on is pretty naive.

Whit the **** are you rattlin on about? I made a simple comment about a Green statement. If he can show he bought the history and trophies as part of the club's assets, as he claims, then he does have a legal standpoint from which to protect what he has bought.
Gambol, you cannot buy the history of a club. Brick and mortar & other tangible assets, Green can fill his boots - although I do think that BDO will have quite a bit to say regarding that one. The point I was making is that if Green thinks he can buy the titles & history of a club, why stop at RFC's? Why not shop around? I thought that Man Utd's win in Barcelona against Bayern Munich was one of the greatest turnarounds in football history. Why not try and buy that win & piece of history. It'd definitely look good on any club's resume. I know it was Green's statement, but like so many of his other statements, they get publicised but never scrutinised; that is what put Rangers in ****e in the first place. Someone in the MSM has to get Green by the balls and pin him down about all the ****e that he comes out with. We all know that isn't going to happen, because there are too many Newco fans paranoid that the media are out to get them and any media challenge against Green or the club will be viewed in pretty much the same way that a factual book being serialised in the Sun was.
I agree with Gambol in that Green is a bit mouthy at times but I wonder if he is testing the waters and trying to get a reaction from the SFA/SPL. I also think he has also taken a lot of legal advice regarding this SPL commission as he seems pretty sure of his grounds for telling them to **** off.
I really don't think you can "shop around" to buy titles from another club. Maybe if you bought the entire club and it's assets, however I don't know. Which is why, when I commented I said things like "if it can be shown", "he claims", etc. It's an interesting idea you have though. Mibby we should buy all of Celtic's

im really clever so i will sum up thanks green can buy the trophies - whether we like it or not the "goodwill" of the business is the brand the trophies etc - in that way The rangers are akin to rangers what he cannot do, however, is argue the club as an entity still exists - but we all (celtic fans) need to understand that this doesnt really matter except for wum purposes - how do you erase history from the mind?? that said, the spl absolutely can strip rangers of spl titles - why? because the physical naming of champions, the recording of this etc. is THEIR intellectual property - not the aforementioned goodwill owned by rangers i cant see how the spl could levy any fine though
