    I wasn't popular with my college football team - I broke the keeper's hand by stamping on it (unintentionally, he wasn't wearing gloves and was trying to get a ball I was looking to smash into the net), my tackles always had a lot of momentum behind them so I would invariably take the player as well, and the time I was going for a volley and volleyed the defender who was trying to header the ball away into the turf was quite impressive, given he was a big lad.

    So basically that would make me Didier Zokora, albeit much better at shooting but with terrible close control.

    So, Nigel de Jong...

    yet the Pool fans think that Bale is being a pansy....they dont let the truth get in the way...forever ashamed of nothing....and there biggest allies in all this are the Chelsea fans...i wonder why.

    I think a lot has been made of the challenge, I agree with you District that the challenge itself isn't too bad but Adam is a cock due to his reckless presence on the pitch.

    Again Drogs, this is not about degrees of severity, it's about intent. To me, and to most observers, there is no doubt that Adam's "tackle" was made with the intent of injuring Bale. He's done it before, he's just tried it again, and he'll do it yet again, if not brought to book.
