I wouldn't support any player who behaved in that manner. It is totally inexcusable, in any physical contact sport. I played Rugby for many years, long before the professional era. Even in those days, we took care of our own. Any behaviour like Adam's that was deemed an attempt to deliberately injure another player ( that's not including " the handbags" that was just an accepted part of the game) would bring swift on the pitch retribution. I know that can't be allowed to happen in today's game, but believe me, it made more than one potential thug think twice before they started any nonsense.

Keane made no secret at the time nor since of his intention, as we know he wasn't even on the pitch yet when he made his mind up! so thats a very good point which says it all really.

No admittedly I didn't read the whole thread.

I thought the reaction was based on this one particular challenge. If its an accumulation of bad Charlie Adam tackles then I feel the reaction is warranted

Looks like Adam has just proved he's a coward getting his agent to defend him. He hasn't even got the balls to stand up and speak for himself.

Given how Rodgers wants Liverpool to regain the ball within seven seconds of losing it this season, Adam will injure another player soon enough - if anything, Rodgers' gameplan is almost encouraging reckless tackling from players who can't tackle to begin with.

Bale: Charlie Adam is a coward.
    Adam: ...
Adam's agent: Don't call my client a coward, even though I'm fighting his battles for him.

So if somebody tries to break Christine Ohuruogu's leg in the 400m, will journalists be claiming it's karma because she turned down three mandatory IAAF drugs tests?

Lol, all these wannabe journalists that come up on NewNow with their "article" that's poorly researched, missing the point and steeped in bias. It's a wonder they haven't been snapped up by a national paper yet.

Are we still advertising for a 12-month unpaid internship in our press department? If so, stick a few of these morons in there, sparing the world their "journalistic" "talents" for a whole year!

It seems to be that most of these idiots have delusions of journalistic adequacy. They try desperately to be controversial, or even provocative. Most just succeed in proving what uninspired twats they really are.

I hate Charlie Adam but Karl Henry for me is the lowest of the low. Check out the video at the bottom of this page for some of his tackles. Unbelievable. Thank god he is now in the championship!

I'd agree with that. I'd also put Barton, Balotelli and Suarez up there with him based on their tendencies to not only commit dangerous challenges and off the ball incidences but also having the temerity to also dive and feign injuries.
