    <yikes>

So if Totti was in the red of Liverpool would you describe that as just clumsy?

Yet he still, got closer to the ball than Adam :p

The sheer lack of sportsmanship from Adam is telling. It's a friendly, he commits a cynical foul from behind, he catches Bale awkwardly, runs off and then makes no attempt to apologise to Bale, even when he sees he's getting treatment.

Adam isnt even looking at the ball, hes locked on Bales ankle wishing he had one as good as that.

  4. Sadly, all of that is in the past.

Today, LFC has been reduced to employing the dirty tactics of a latter-day Wimbledon, because they simply cannot match teams like Spurs for pace, guile, and grace.

The sooner 'Pool is relegated to the Championship the better off English football will be for it.

  5. Horrible - but only a deflection of attention from Adams misdemeanours......

Like I said, I think he's a **** tackler. He's not fit enough to be in the right positions to tackle, and he's not clever enough either. So, a big part of him game is cynical, professional fouls. These fouls are large part of any game - you will never see a match without someone's ankles being clipped.

Most times it's just a foul, maybe a yellow or a red, but sometimes a player gets hurt. That's the game, injuries are a part of sport like it or not.

I don't think he meant to hurt Bale, he's just a poor player.

Sorry Zingy and NIRIR, you're sensible posters, but I think you're giving Adam the benefit of the doubt because he plays for your side.
You don't try and clip someone's ankle by raking them from behind with your studs up.
It wasn't as bad as the Blackpool assault, which the ****house didn't even get booked for, but it was a cynical attempt to hurt an opponent in a friendly.

As Bale pointed out, if it was an accident then most professionals would apologise, especially in a nothing game.
Not sure what the Welshman's done to offend him, but it does look like Adam's got some vendetta against him.

Come on guys is it really that bad? No it isn't.

The sniping just makes him look like a child.

The tackle whilst Adam was at Blackpool was shocking though.

And there you have the reason for the sniping, B4F.
If the same player kept trying to injure you, you'd probably be pretty pissed off about it.
If he started trying it in friendlies, then you'd be livid.

I don't think he tried to take him out here though.

Plus I wouldn't take my misgivings to the press to be quite honest.

He went to AVB at half time, and because of Bale's desire for headlines he's unlikely to apologise now, is he?

Haha I don't want Adam to play for my side, believe me.

I think it was a cynical foul, yes, but a deliberate attempt to hurt Bale? No.

The Totti example I posted is an example of a deliberate attempt to hurt someone.

Absolutely nowhere near the ball. It was gone.
At best it was a cynical attempt to break up an attack, but as I said before, I don't think that requires raking your studs down the back of someone's ankle.

What did Totti get as a punishment for that? Surely a long ban?

Yeah, yeah. Heard it all before. " poor old Scholesy can't tackle" etc. Bullshit!...Adam knew exactly what he was doing. He set out to deliberately injure Bale, just as he did at WHL.

a it was very nasty " challenge" most of your fellow LFC fans have accepted that Adam is a thug. I sincerely hope that you will never see one of our players ever commit an horrendous offence like that, and if they do, I hope they get what's coming for it!.
