Well, you know, it's all kicked off on our board, so there's suddenly plenty to talk about again. It was very slow for a while on the NUFC front. I wouldn't wish the 'situation' were in on any club though, even Sunderland. Rivalries aside, it's owners like Mike Ashley and twats like Derek Llambias who are a shame to the sport and make it hard for the fans who simply love football.
Yeah, all the piss taking aside, those guys at the top of your club haven't got a clue and it's always the fans who suffer, look at it this way, sooner or later they'll be gone and you'll have an owner who knows what he's doing and gives a ****e about the club. Still good thing you've bought those frenchmen eh or you'd be seriously ****ed. (sorry couldn't resist it.)
By the way, there are 9 (yes, NINE) threads on the first page of the Sunderland board which are either about Newcastle, or reference Newcastle. Little quiet over here fellas?
Pretty much this. And plus, I don't have a leg to stand on when our owners are ****ing my club up. I heard a great quote from a QPR fan that I thought could be used for us as well. It was something like, 'I saved a cat once. But I don't go around ****ting all over that cat'. Thought it was quite relevant. I know when I'm beat, and plus, being called a **** every other word by cest gets quite boring
No full of life, unlike your board at the minute, all doom and gloom over there. Have you come over for a laugh it's kinda lively tonight.
Unfortunately I don't see Ashley budging unless we get relegated again. He seems to have this five year plan of his. Honestly, I hate Derek more than Ashley. I think he's the scummy prick behind these shocking contract decisions.
Thats about the first thing I've ever read from you that makes both sense and is something I agree with. I think Ashley and Llambias (as a pure football fan only here) are a pair of absolute ****s. They have no idea of what it means to be the custodian of a football club, as well as run that successful football club. Its not t-shirts and trainers they are selling here its hearts and minds. However, as they are your ****s and this is with my sunderland hat on now, I truly hope they stay as your lords and masters for years to come. PS - well done for showing your face. I'd rep you but I dont know whaty the **** it is, or how to do it, or why you'd even want it in the first place. So I wont bother.
Well I'll raise your 1 neg rep with the 5 negatives I've got for my piss taking posts tonight, so to be honest your doing quite well.
1) Because, Jackie, all the time Ive have supported my club you lot have been so s**t sure about your lot. In 1969 you won an INVITATIONAL challenge trophy and made out you were kings of Europe. I think you lot also won the Texaco Cup (exactly ) in 1972. On the back of such a pedigree you have lauded it as the so-called "north-east team". We were only about as a bit-part, casual 11. BUT We won the last piece of real silverware up here (you can tell I dont consider the Boro) You lot are champions if running up. GET OFF MY SITE. x
It's a mixture. Fans seem to be divided. The Barton situation is a tricky one though, because no one can deny that he's brought this on himself. If he had just kept his ****ing gob shut there wouldn't have been any problems. Instead, despite claiming he wants a new contract, he just kept poking and poking until the board snapped. Very true. Mind you, the Venky's are now in the running to overtake Ashley and Derek as the worst owners in the EPL. I have a feeling they have a few tricks up their sleeves which put Ashley and Derek to shame when it comes to making ****ing awful footballing decisions. That chicken advert was just the beginning.
And me who was born in 1987 and so experienced none of this deserve all I get? And whos site exactly? Think mick would have something to say about that
Can I ask a serious question about the rivalry? Throughout my life, Newcastle have been the top side for the majority, and Newcastle fans have taken the piss which is understandable. This Gillingham thing comes up a lot, and having been born in 1989, it was a little bit before my time. It seems that was a bit out of order, but did Sunderland do something before that? Maybe they did to get back at Newcastle for something they'd done even before that. So what I'd like to know is, who actually started it? Sunderland first tasted success around about the same time Newcastle were first formed? Did the Mackems take the piss out of their beloved Geordie neighbours then? Or were they nice about it and it wasn't until Newcastle won something that our fans started being ****ers to Sunderland fans? I guess history has determined both sides will hate each other, but there are many that don't even know about any of that and hate simply because they were brought up doing so. Can anyone old enough to remember pre-1970 give me an unbiased idea of what it was like back then? Have things changed?
Well Chappaz, as a football fan I wish you all the best and hope you get your club back soon. But as a Sunderland fan, long may Ashley have control over your club and ****'s you mags over daily. Sorry.
Just seems a bit petty and obsessive to tar the vast majority of the fans with "the sins of the fathers" as such
I can't comment on specifics but from what I've seen on telly, it all seemed to be in black and white and everyone wore hats. Can anyone confirm this?
