Here's some much needed inspiration for the 'City Ultra's' from our friends at Al-Ahly.
Why Don't The Allams Pay for free travel to our next home game. It won't cost much for 10 planes from Egypt to Humberside will it, imagine the KC with them lot in it
It seems there Ultras fans know how to do football, the new lads wont know whats hit them when they both come bursting out the tunnel first home game at the KC on a freezing cold saturday afternoon.
Genuine question though, Why doesn't english football have the 'ultras' as foreign teams do? Even Rangers have an element like that, all english teams seem to lack though?
I don't get to go too many KC games but when i do i stand in e1/e2 and i've noticed, the stewards/police are moving to fans at the slightest things.. is this pretty much the main factor then? It's such a shame really
From the West stand. Tit tut...tut tut tut..... Forward...tut tut tut....where's me flask love.....is it time to go.....tut tut tut.
When you have fans and an atmosphere like the video shows, surely it must fire the players up, and get their adrenalin pumping.
Some really good videos there of the Egyptian fans. I watch Melbourne Victory over here and they have the reputation of being the best (noisiest) fans in the A league. They have a couple of songs but mainly just chants and often even without words - just a continuous melodic "Ooh". I'm sure that sounds a bit daft but it actually works pretty well - I think it's just about making continuous noise and it seems to work in creating atmosphere and inspiring the players. Having clever songs is good and maybe even uniquely English but maybe City fans just need to think about doing something simpler at times that promotes continuous orchestrated noise. Also, it seems pretty clear to me that the supporter groups for Melbourne Victory are well organised, almost like a few will rehearse and then drag the rest along with them! As far as the stewards and the cops are concerned at the KC - are they really going to try and stop 10,000 fans (as opposed to a couple of hundred) in the east stand from having fun?
