I think Tiss is the most talented player ever to play for Saints and arguably one of the most talented footballers of all time. Of course he had his much publicised faults e.g. fitness and work rate, but this didn't detract from the huge influence he had on the team. When the Daily Telegraph (I think) introduced the first Fantasy Football League I'm pretty sure that that Matty was the top points scorer in 3 of the first 4 years. However, the way we play today demands fitness and effort and he may be considered a luxury (although I would definitely find some sort of role for him). For those who have never seen Channon play, the nearest current player to him would be Gareth Bale. He could play wide, or down the centre and he was always best at pace. In our current team, I think I would play him wide right and have him cutting in. However, he wasn't renowned for his training either. I remember him saying that he only practiced what he was good at, why waste time on things that you're not good at! Both would be great today, but both might have to adapt to a more modern way of thinking.
