Discourage spectators from hurling abuse at refs and players (by awarding points in the fair play league) - the respect campaign has been a disaster mainly because the 'abuse' that the players give the refs is insignificant compared to the vile abuse hurled at both players and refs from the terraces. This can only be justified if...
Decreasing ticket prices - this will give real fans the opportunity to support the team instead of being priced out by fair weather supporters. "The average amount of time that the ball has been in play in Premier League matches this season is 62min 39sec." See Guardian link.
Any ideas you may have?
