Sunderland fans will back the team if they see some passion. Most of all home games this season have been boring as hell. Some Times I was even thinking I wish I went shopping with our lass LOL that says it all pal sorry.
Don't be silly man. I do what a want. I do give her my credit card tho LOL keep her happy for a couple of hours at least.
TUM I think Ya being polite using the term "boring". " utter f*cking gash" would have been the wording I used. There Deffo appears to be lack of passion from the players so what is it? Do they want to be here? Do they want to play for Gus? I think there is something in that article in the Guardian regarding the drinking culture and that's certainly reflected in some of the players performances. If this is the case tho do we have a complete clear out and start from scratch? The manager is the man in control AND he must have that control. SAF would have stopped any of these alleged rumours thru sheer fear. I'm not saying that's the way it should be but we need to do something. I personally think we are underperforming as I believe the nucleus of a decent team is there.
Sadly looking at form and fixture list it looks like Boro will do well to get the play offs, automatic seems a long shot. Really dropped off recently the Boro. Would be great for NE football to have 3 teams back in the Prem.
They're joint top. Fixtures mean nothing in that league. Form can easily turn for anyone. Automatic is far far from a long shot. I think you're stupid if you think that.
Perhaps I should have siad I thought that opinion is stupid. Which is afterall my opinion on that opinion, not an assessment of his character, which again would only be an opinion.
If your arguments were so much better then I'm sure it would suffice, as in my opinion once you start a slagging match over an opinion then you make yourself look stupid..
I love an argument as much as anyone, but the unwarranted personal insults to annoy me..However..As Indestructible has since stated, he was talking about the comment rather than the poster which is not as bad as the former, although a better counter argument is surely the best form of reply..
Bit harsh imo. To say fixtures mean nothing in that league shows you really don't pay much attention in my opinion, it's not really the "anyone can beat anyone" league that people make out. That's true for the mid table teams but after that fixtures really do have a big bearing. I suppose we'll see at the end of the season.
Bit harsh to say that a team with as many points as anyone in the league is resigned to playoffs too. Its not like boro only play the better teams while the others all play games against the worst teams. That is impossible.
I didn't say any of the above. I said automatic looks "a long shot". Recent slip ups against teams like Sheff Wednesday, Birmingham, Leeds looks to have cost them, they could have a had a 4-5 point gap. Middlesbrough are 4th. They have to play 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th away from home before the end of the season. Out of the last 10 games, they play all but 1 of the top 8. The odds are against them, and I'd say anyone with even a passing interest in the Championship would agree with that.
Win 2 of them though and they will be in great shape. Derby look the best side to me from what I've seen, although they have dipped, Boro, even on the winning run always seemed to be working hard to get there. Can't discount Bournemouth he play with crazy freedom, as the smallest club in the hunt the pressure doesn't seem tp phase them, would be an incredible achievment if they made it, incredible.
The 2 sides looking good to me at the minute are Norwich and Watford, a lot of it is about momentum at this stage of the season. Derby are the best of the 3 who've been up there all season imo. Going to be a cracking play-offs anyway. Obviously playing the teams around you can work out in your favour if you get the wins, but I don't think anyone would swap their run in for Boro's, you'd much rather be playing the bottom half teams who have nothing to play for.
Without a doubt. Watford have been going close for a few years now, I think they probs deserve it, Derby were the best side in that league last season as well in my opinion, I think they are best set to stay up if they get there, just a very solid foundation all over the park. Norwich have some great players, Premier standard, but for me they have some real ****e as well, I don't think they'll quite have enough. With Bournemouth though, they might have already had there wobble a few weeks back, and watching a bit of their game Friday they looked absolutely lethal. As it goes, whoever goes up automatically deserves it, simple as that, not true for the play offs of course it's usually the runts that win that QPR were lifting last season and went up.
Bournemouth are looking good but they're one of the teams I think need to get top 2. Like you say, it's usually the team no one wants that wins the play off, generally the team with the most experience and know how. See West Ham and QPR in the last few years who were just too streetwise in that knockout format. Shame there isn't any similar excitement at the other end, the 3 going down is signed, sealed, delivered.
