    Just saw a headline that Stoke may have to "sell" their ground to avoid falling foul of FFP.

    Apparently they have run up an £88 million loss this year.

    Sure they won't be the last to pop up like this in the coming months.

    It's only small change to Denise Coates, so perhaps can drop in an £88M cheque to wipe it out?

    It's strange how people gather their personal fortunes and how quickly typified by the two people mentioned above.

    We think of Tan as wealthy (and he is), but Denise Coates has 10 times the personal wealth of Tan all made in the last 20 years starting from scratch.

    By the way what happened to Porthcawl's microclimate. Pi$$ing down with rain in Bridgend this morning. As I was walking a friend's dog, I thought go to Porthcawl, it will be dry in Porthcawl, was it hell. Walked from Beach Road, Newton, around Costa del Trecco, down to the promenade and back. Got bloody soaked despite using an umbrella. Even the dog was fed up.

    Can't rely on anything now can you?

    Well I expect I have contributed a little towards her stash over the years.....<whistle>

    Bit more circumspect these days - now it's less money risked and at longer odds just for the fun. That way you don't lose much but it's nice when it does drop right.

    (I was going to say "comes off" but was worried it might stimulate Masky again. <laugh>)

    Yes, must admit it was a bit naff this morning.

    So naff, I had to take one of the dogs for grooming and I gave her a lift to Laleston............<whistle><whistle>
