Unfair on Wycombe.

 

Like it was on Charlton last season.

The Wendies should have had that points deduction last year and been plying their trade in League One this season, not them.

Still they're down there now - shame Derby aren't down there with them.

 

Wycombe have managed their affairs on a shoestring and relied on passion and loyalty to the club - and are relegated!
Derby have at the very least bent the rules and have a whole season to fight off relegation.
Felt bad for Charlton last term too.
Another of the many things wrong with the professional game at the moment.

 

It will be a disgrace if a points deduction is pushed forward.

I should explain, that reference came to me while sat in my car outside Ogmore Vale Life Centre, only a mile or so from Windsor Davies' home town, from the age of 10, of Nantymoel.

Irrespective of it being a basket case of s club there was talk of a possibility the points would be deducted this season but nothing heard since- why can’t the FA or whoever man up and sort it out now.

 

Were the points to be deducted this season and I think they should be, the question is, would 4 go down or would Wycombe get a reprieve?

It would be great if Wycombe stayed up, just for their overall attitude as a very small fish playing in a big pool.

However, knowing the EFL, they will chicken out and deduct next season.

 

I agree the points should be deducted this season but that won't happen as the powers that be set a precedent with the Wendies last season.

Who do you want to win and why?

A dislike of Swansea is not an acceptable answer.

Me? Brentford, as in my view they were the second best footballing side in the division and, were it not for a major wobble when Watford were grinding out results, should have gone up auto.

Fair play to Swansea getting to the final but I think that is where it will end for them this season.

 

I’ve got a feeling that Brentford will bottle it. They’re probably the better footballing team but I fancy the Jacks to sneak it.

 

I was very pleased for them.

 

Brentford for me, not a fan of play offs.

If you come 3rd after 46 games you deserve to go up.

 

I can see how they keep more teams interested right to the end of the season, but I'm with you, 3rd best team over the season finishes 3rd.

Its like the rugby playoffs among the top 4. If you want a knock out competition you have the cups otherwise go with the league positions.

Missed out several times so could do with a chance this time around.

However, I have a horrid feeling the Jacks will fluke it somehow.
So many iffy decisions and results went their way.... even Forest collapsing like they did last year was "lucky" for them....
They are just one of those clubs that rarely suffer bad luck.
