Just a reminder that we already have 2 nominations for Barnsley's Jacob Butterfield, posted during the defender section. Remember, our 24 man squad must consist of one player from each side, so the following teams are now off-limits: Birmingham City Brighton Bristol City Crystal Palace Derby County Hull City Leicester City Nottingham Forest Portsmouth West Ham
Well Burnley are off-limits for midfielders as it will be between Austin and Rodriguez for a striker from them I would say.
Barnsley Blackpool Burnley Cardiff City Coventry City Doncaster Rovers Ipswich Town Leeds United Middlesbrough Millwall Peterborough United Reading Southampton Watford TO CHOOSE FROM :d
Well the two stand-out players from Posh appear to be Paul Taylor and Lee Tomlin, but I'm not sure if you'd class them as strikers or midfielders. A bit like George Boyd, they are sort of half-and-half. Some midfield nominations: Whittingham (Cardiff) Butterfield (Barnsley) Lallana (Saints) Andrews (Ipswich) Some striker nominations: Sharp (Doncaster) Phillips (Blackpool) Emnes (Boro) McCormack (Leeds) Le Fondre (Reading)
Got to be LaLaLand from the ex-sashes down the road, plus Peter Whittingham (Cardiff) and George Boyd (Posh).
I'll leave this open overnight as I'm offline soon. I'll take a look in the morning then we can get on with the strikers to complete the squad
Adam Lallana (Southampton) Mikele Liegertwood (Reading) Grant McCann (Posh) Jacob Butterfield (Barnsley)
It does seem unfair that while everyone (or most people anyway) will pick Adam Lallana in midfield, this will automatically rule out the leading striker in the Championship, Rickie Lambert. Can we not have a special dispensation to have both of them?
Midfield: Whittingham Butterfield Kebe Keith Andrews Taylor-Fletcher George Boyd/Tommy Rowe Strikers: Sordell Austin Sharp McCormack
