Must of turned back when he saw the mustard yellow kit hahaThis is the guy who was on his way down the M4 to sign for the Swans, but turned around and signed for Norwich instead.![]()
Is that Mike or Bernie?I look forward to Mr Winters take on this transfer.

Undisclosed, Swans favourite word when doing transfers.
Good luck for the future Joe , you didn't leave yourself or the Club down .Still not fussed on Spurs though
My late Dad - who played a number of games for the Swans reserves when Billy McCandless was Manager - always had a soft spot for Spurs: never really understood why....I'm not fussed on Spurs either. They have always been Arsenal's poor neighbours. When they employed the ' odious one ', I smiled, and thought, they were made for each other.
The Arsenal have a lot more history than Spurs.
Yes, good luck Joe. Hope it goes well for you. He may well be marking his close friend Ollie McBurnie in the not too distant future. That should be an interesting encounter.

I always preferred the Arsenal - but there’s only one team I follow![]()
Hi Vetch. My Dad played his first game for the Reserves at 17 in 1949. I’ve still got the letter sent to/for him by Billy McCandless instructing him to arrive no later than 5pm for a 5.30pm kick off and that he had told the Reserves Manager that my Dad was playing !Would that have been around the time Cliff Jones and Terry Medwin signed for Spurs ? Late 1950's.
In fairness the Spurs had a great side in the early '60's.

That's way before my time. He would likely have played with some youngsters who were part of the post war Swansea conveyor belt. The likes of Lennie Allchurch, Harry Griffiths, maybe. Care to share your dad's surname.

In fairness, we have kept Ayew and Grimes as well as adding 4 (seemingly) decent players.Disappointed to lose Joe, especially at that transfer fee, but overall I feel we are much stronger than we were at the start of the season
