I don't give a **** about how much we pay as long as we buy good players. Clucas doesn't fill me with any sort of enthusiasm. Reading what Hull fans have to say about him - they mostly think he average and that we are preparing for the Championship.

No club has ever gone bust in the PL - it's only when they slide down the divisions that the financial problems cause issues.
The moral - pay through the nose to stay in the PL and all will be fine.

The PL isn't the be all and end all of football and just in case you've missed it , there are no morals in the PL

No **** <laugh>

“It’s exciting for (chairman) Huw (Jenkins) now to have some money to work with and money to spend. We need to keep making the squad better.”

“It’s more that Huw and the scouting team find targets and if there is somebody they think I may know or may have played with or may know something about then they’ll ask me for my advice,

I'm surprised Clement hasn't walked if he has no say/final decision in transfer targets etc. Didn't think he was the type to be a Jenkins puppet, as it were.

I agree, there are no morals in the PL, however, the story has one. Pay'n'stay.

He won't walk , he'll wait until he's pushed like the rest and get a lovely pay off paid by the Club ( please note not out of the pockets of jerkins though) ,

Seems to me we are now diverting profit back into the boardroom from player sales, and we have culled the squad quite thin taking a substantial amount off the wage bill this season, we have made approx £80 Million on sale of players this season, and spent on just two players worth talking about, clearly the 'investment to take us to the next level' was a complete false statement from big nosed Jinx, add to all this the increase in SKY TV revenue, and you can see that all these yanks will do is milk the club, and drain us dry, they did the same with DC United, with under investment of the team, with these Yankee ****ers onboard staying in the Prem will be all that they will be interested in, they have no interest in the 'soccer side' of things..............<ok>
Speaks volumes that we are now spending following Donovan's arrival last week.

Huw may be the Swans "face" of transfer activity but he doesn't seem to have the final say so any more ........

I've heard rumours that Clement is not a big fan - not sure if that is correct. Not one of my usual sources.

However, if this is true, then it would suggest that there is more than a grain of truth to that rumour.

Also would support the media speculation about another RB - Naughton could cover both RB & LB.

I've heard that too Taff, Clement, allegedly, thinks he's lazy in training. Shame if he goes, I rate him as a full back but admit he's not a wing-back which is the way Clement is going with a back three. This has to signal the arrival of another wing-back, Arias hopefully. Its the only way letting Kingsley go makes sense.

Swansea City are interested in signing Santiago Arias from PSV Eindhoven, BBC Wales Sport understands.

The 25-year-old has won 32 caps for Colombia and joined the Dutch side from Sporting Lisbon in 2013.
Arias normally plays at right-back but can also slot into central defence and would add experience to Swansea manager Paul Clement's backline.

Another target, Hull City midfielder Sam Clucas, is expected at Liberty Stadium for a medical on Tuesday.
Swansea have agreed a fee for the 26-year-old but Clucas still needs to agree personal terms and pass the medical.

The Welsh club has funds to spend following the £45m sale of Iceland midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson to Premier League rivals Everton.

Swansea drew 0-0 at Southampton in their opening game but were then beaten 4-0 at home by Manchester United at the weekend.

I think all that info has been on the Swans forums for the last few days <laugh>

Rhys.

Disgraceful, even with Mesa added and possibly Arias, Bony and Clucas.(Who imo should have been brought in at the start if the transfer window.)
Is there anything to show how much we have wasted on managerial and coaching merry-go-round since Laudrup was sacked?

I thought that we would have been trying to improve our team. I Know we will lose lots of good players, but looking at some who have moved on not necessarily to better things, we have gone massively backwards and where has the money gone.
