Is anyone else starting to think that this isn't going to happen? If I was Siggy I would be royally p155ed off with Everton, they have been so public in their "admiration" of him but keep refusing to meet our demands.

Siggy will know the impact it's had on his relationship with the fans and will have wanted Everton to prove he is the most important part of their plans going forward, but atm he probably feels like he isn't truly wanted at either club.

Psychologists vie to enumerate the facets of sociopathy. Joseph Newman argues that the sociopath has an attention bottleneck that allows him to focus only on one activity or train of thought, to the exclusion of others. Researchers, including Howard Kamler, say that the sociopath lacks not "moral" identity but self-identity altogether. Yet nowhere do I recognize myself more than in Hervey Cleckley's clinical profiles. In The Mask of Sanity, published in 1941, Cleckley distilled what he believed to be the 16 key behavioral characteristics that defined psychopathy. Most of these factors are still used today to diagnose sociopaths/psychopaths and others with antisocial disorders. (Psychopathy and sociopathyare terms with an intertwined clinical history, and they are now largely used interchangeably. The DSM excludes both, in favor of antisocial personality disorder.)

  • Superficial charm and good intelligence
  • Absence of delusions and other signs of irrational thinking
  • Absence of nervousness or neurotic manifestations
  • Unreliability
  • Untruthfulness and insincerity
  • Lack of remorse and shame
  • Inadequately motivated antisocial behavior
  • Poor judgment and failure to learn by experience
  • Pathologic egocentricity and incapacity for love
  • General poverty in major affective reactions
  • Specific loss of insight
  • Unresponsiveness in general interpersonal relations
  • Fantastic and uninviting behavior with alcohol and sometimes without
  • Suicide threats rarely carried out
  • Sex life impersonal, trivial, and poorly integrated
  • Failure to follow any life plan

That just about covers it.

Being reported in a Liverpool media source that the Siggy deal is in jeopardy with Koeman angry with the front office about them not meeting our price . If this Siggy deal doesn't go through , I fear for the the dressing room moral . I think the Everton brass know that things with Siggy and Swansea are not very good and are trying to use that to get the price lowered a bit .

The ONLY verified and official quote in the Siggy saga, other than 'Koeman bleats', has came from us when we warned Everton off from 'tapping up' our player. There has never been any quotes or verifiable comment from any Everton source at all.

Imo Everton are trying to impose a deal on us, one we don't want, by using the media like a stand of twelve-pounders firing off story after story of bids of £40-45m, of players exchange and make weights, of close deals etc all designed to make us crack under the constant barrage of media bullshit.

I personally don't believe Everton have made any bid for Siggy in the last month and the reports we've been reading, via the scouse press by the way, have been storys designed to 'soften' us up by getting us to constantly engage, with the media not Everton, and defend our stance over and over in the media while Everton just sit back and watch us squirm. Thankfully, we've declined to engage with them.

This has been Evertons only tactic, forget about negotiation, just batter us into submission so they can **** all over us.

I'd sooner sit Siggy down for three years than let Everton have him under their terms because if we do it will send the message that we are just a bunch of defenceless pussies who can be pushed over and beaten up every transfer window and have our best players stolen from us.

Just popped in while the missus is out at the shopping mall to see if there are any new signings.....Gylfi will be an Everton player soon and i cant see him starting for them with zero games under his belt as he cant be anywhere close to match fitness. I dont think we need the twat now anyway as we have done ok without him and Llorente.....As bringing Bony back then that will be a huge mistake as he has not played for a couple of seasons and we have moved on and play differently anyway, He was a very slow player and not mobile enough when he was here but we played that style and now he is nearly 3 years older with no games to speak of then it would be a hell of a lot of money to buy him.....Nobody else is interested or would be stupid enough to buy a player who has been rubbish and could not keep his place in two clubs......For the money that Man C want for him then that sort of money would be better spent on a much younger and fitter striker imo... Besides all that we would probably lose him for 3 months if he goes to the African Nations tournament.....Well got to go things to do and all that....

What's the time Dave <doh>

There's no need to post this Newport. Far too many long words that Dai won't understand :)

Gylfi wants out , most can feel that . It was reported that the club tried to extend his contract and gave him a ultimatum to sign it ....must not have got signed which says something to me valley . After all that's gone on , all the he said , they said .... I just don't see a positive way forward for Siggy and the club . just my opinion

Only read Ross Barkley had been offered a new deal, one he refused to sign, Breezy. Haven't read anything about Siggy being offered a new contract.

Its hard to see anything because we only have to go on are the baseless reports of the 'self medicating' media. There has been no quotes or verified comments from either club in any story manufactured by reporters seeking a fix. Neither has there been any verified reports of meetings between any of the parties involved nor any negotiations, just a lot of shout-outs.

Nothing has happened and I doubt anything will until the last week, day, of the window. Then I expect Everton will start making moves to force the issue and get Siggy on the cheap. Until then we will see more of Evertons tactic of media negotiation via reports trying to upset and desabilize Siggy, us and the club.

Precisely we lose a player for 4 games and they get a player on the cheap. Time to tell them to go swivel and let's get on with our plans. Our plans can't be contingent on this money surely

No sign of investment by the Americans is beginning to be a worry. If they are just looking to reinvest any transfer fees we get then surely they could sign any players the manager feels we need now and reclaim this from the transfer fee later. Time is going on. I suggest this without knowing whether such transactions breach any transfer rules.

The Yanks are in it to make money not donate that which they have not got, you can thank 'big nose' for that!..........................<ok>

If only the trust had a pair of balls and came out and said something. The Americans said they WOULD invest in the club. They STILL haven't put a penny into the club. They'd see us relegated tomorrow if they could sell for a decent profit.

Did you actually believe that, I think everyone to a man apart from one have queried what investment they have made to the squad. In this window they are in profit. Still it is only what I expected from them and just doing exactly what most of us thought and that is **** all.

Nope, I've never believed that they would invest and always suggested this in my posts. Because they haven't kept their word, the Trust should speak out. But as usual, the Trust is about as useful as a wet salad <grr>

We must to keep Gylfi now. Clement needs to speak out about this fiasco and shambolic summer window. What's the worse that could happen to him? He gets sacked when his reputation is sky high, and he'll have a host of clubs fighting for his signature in 2-3 months time.

I still think the Yanks tried forcing him out to cash in for their own personal agenda.

Signs are Siggy staying.I wonder if he is in "THE RIGHT FRAME OF MIND" to kick a football now...."whistling"
Exactly !. Everton agreed to 46 million with no add ons and know that they see friction between Siggy and the club they want to negotiate down some .And anyone who believes there is no friction between Siggy and the club has got their head in the sand IMO
