Could we be the club about to make a big offer? It would make perfect sense with Mesa already here etc.

Just met my man on the beach again who told me some stories:
A sad story:
Siggy is quietly awaiting a decision about his future and is happy either way, to stay if the board wants him to or go if they don't. Either way he will abide by the outcome of the negotiations with Everton but in truth he is still a little upset that his loyalty to us went unrequited.
The main story:
Last night negotiations reached an impasse with both boards refusing to move. Allegedly Everton bid is well below our valuation and below anything reported in the media too. There is another player involved in Evertons bid but, apparently we're not too keen on any swap deals. Our board wants cold hard cash to get a replacements for Siggy, not a soft option of a player they didn't choose.
Everton have been nothing but consistently persistent though all of this. Even after constant rejection they keep coming back for more. My man on the beach suggests this is because Everton are currently testing our metal but, will eventually pay us our asking price if we continue to show resolve. I'll throw this in for fun, our asking price is not £50m, WTF
A side story:
Our board will only sell Siggy if they have a replacement lined up to immediately take his place with no delay. Viera is looming large in this picture but his agent is acting strangely and is requesting, not demanding, that every penny we make on Siggy be included in the deal we make for Viera. That is, if his club sell him for £30m, any surplus from the Siggy deal be included in some way in the personal terms we negotiate with Viera. Our board have asked him to be wary, as we are the only club who have shown a firm interest in Viera and the only club who he has had preliminary talks with, so Vieras agent is not in a good bargaining position, we're apparently the only club who's shown any solid interest in his man.
A different story:
We may soon be signing full back Andy Yiadom from Barnsley who can play both RB and LB, if we can agree terms that is?

Barrow on his way to Reading after upping their bid by £250,000. We must really be financially in the $hit?
Good move for Barrow. Reading are an excellent Club.
Nothing to do with the fact that it's a new tax year........It seems Nordfeldt is going out on loan.
Lot of activity at the Club now.
Nothing to do with the fact that it's a new tax year........
We sure could do with Ken Dodd's tax adviser....... Blast, he's driving from New York to Florida......
Looks like Gylfi is a dead man walking and ius being FORCED out by the Yanks or Clement? Does your contact know if Clement wants Gylfi to stay?
If we sign someone like Chadli instead of a player like Viera we are going down.

Clement has his man coming in!................![]()
I suspect he knows that Gylfi is going and has players lined up to join the squad. So Clement doesn't want Gylfi to stay?
