I was at the Liberty today and overheard someone saying (I assumed it was about Gylfi) that it was disappointing but once a player says he wants to go......

So then, back to the game for Siggy. Currently, its a £45m pot and its our turn, will we call or go all-in with value bet pushing the pot up to £50m?????

If I was playing I would because, I reckon, Everton have shown their hand a long time ago and are unlikely to throw it away for an extra £5m. They've spent so much time chasing him its inevitable that they'll pay £50m for Siggy if we force them to. They'll suck their teeth, check their cards, shake their head, ponder then they'll accept our terms.

We'll see if our owners are pissed off poker players or are business gentlemen willing to accept a compromise. This is far more interesting than deadline day!

SSN reporting Everton have made a second bid of 45m for Siggy, I just hope we get every penny we can out of them. Hold out for the 50 which I am sure they will pay.

If they want him badly enough to offer £45 million, another 5 will not be a problem.
We could dangle a freebie carrot though. Offer Dai to their 606 forum, foc. <laugh>

£45m <laugh> sell sell sell he is not worth half that......Silly money and easy money ...yes please...........Now with that money invest in 3 quality defenders because apart from a couple we are dire in defense......It will mean the difference between having a good season and another heavy goals against and in a relegation dog fight....Selling Gylfi could be a blessing in disguise.....

Some perspective here.
Michu £2,000,000.00.
Sigurdsson £45,000,000.00.

So Sigurdsson is 22 and one half times a Michu. Joke, eh ?

Insanity continues unabated.
Even taking inflation into account, it's still insane.
But insanity is good, right ?

45 is pure profit ...SOLD . When you look at probably half the games Siggy played for Clement , he was played out of position . This tells me , Clement doesn't want to use Siggy as our attacking midfielder ... unless someone can tell me why else Clement did that . we basically payed nothing for Siggy , 5 million for Llorente and 5 million for Mawson . 80 to 90 million profit for a player Clement wants to play out of position half the time , an old ( semi injured ) striker who will be hard pressed to come close to what he achieved last season and a semi loose cannon CB .

In today's market £45m for Gylfi is very cheap when you consider Man City have just forked out £100m on 2 fullbacks.

Im off tomorrow for 3 weeks to Dubrovnik and her islands.Hoping to watch the Saints game out there.
Im worried......we are 9/4.....2/1 for relegation.
Here's hoping for a good start.

We must be off our rocker if we dont sell Gylfi. £45m is a fantastic deal for a player of his caliber.. We will never get that sort of offer again.....Sell him and have done with it so we can improve the squad.....We are already one of the favorites for relegation and that will be because our pathetic defense.....
