That is rubbish and you know it <doh> Why would he want to go to west ham who was just as crap as we were....He could have easily played at a big club as he has proved and will prove again this season at another big massive club......The premiership is over rated and there would never be so many foreign players over here if it was not for the money they can earn. Gomis is well rid of a poor team we have been as we were devaluing his true ability...He is now back where he belongs and scoring goals for fun,,,,Something he could not do regular because of the crap players and crap coaching he had to endure....

If you repeat something often enough, and loud enough, the people will believe the story/hype, etc.
At least that is the belief, and it works. It's a time proven premise.

That is what has happened with the so called PREMIER LEAGUE.
It's really just the old First Division, shrouded in a cloak of money so thick that people have lost all their sense of proportion.
Common sense has been eroded.

Are there some top players in the P.L. ? Of course there are, but they are in the minority.
Average players now exchange Clubs for lottery style payments, and that is the reality of the P.L.

Club's are so desperate to a) get there, and b) stay there, that money has no meaning anymore when it comes to transfer fees. After all, the money is free, and there's a lot more to come, and it will also be free. So, let's get spending.

Fans' are demanding that their Club spend more and more, pay larger transfer fees than the opposition. Larger transfer fees invariably mean larger wages. And so it goes on. The wanton spiral of spend, spend, and then spend some more.

It's all down to fear. The fear of losing their place at the top table, and find their team, and themselves, being mocked and ridiculed, for not being part of the greatest con trick ever perpetrated on the sporting public.

The P.L. is just an obscenity, and there is precious little premier about it.

Just my opinion. Others are available. <laugh>

PL is the toughest, most demanding league in the world. Might not be the best in terms of quality, but physically, it's brutal.

Agree, in a second rate league.
 
The championship is a more entertaining league than the premiership by a mile......The premiership is all about 6 clubs with the rest of us making up the numbers, lets not forget that.....It is only worth being here for the money otherwise if we want entertainment and a chance to compete fairly then the championship is the place to be....I would love to see the top 6 clubs being moved to a European league where they can compete with the best Europe has to offer and give us in the premiership also rans a more competitive league .....
