Didn't mean to paint my Wife in bad colours breezy, she'll beat the crap out of me if she ever found out. The rest of the year she's quite sophisticated and its a couple of glasses of win with dinner, its only at Christmas she turns into a geezer

Myself I'd rather see us hold onto players and build a decent solid PL squad than to see jerkins and co rubbing their hands at the prospect of bigger dividends , but I guess I'm in the minority .
I agree. Once we find a decent player we should hold onto him. We've seen enough failures when it comes to signings, so even paying £10M a piece for 2 CB's doesn't mean they'll turn out to be any good.
There's enough money around for us not to go selling every good player we get.

Well Mawson cost 5.5 million , so there out there . Our good sense began taking a hit when Eder and Tabanou rode in to town , and rode out unused .Enter Baston ,our highest transfer ever , and it looks like he'll be saddling up too ... basically unused .

Lets hope we learn from those costly mistakes and get it right this time. On the whole though, our transfers haven't been so bad, Mawson, Fer, Carroll, Olsson, Narsingh, Llorente all worked out but we don't need another Baston tht's for sure

Wow ... It didn't dawn on me till I read all those names together . Also Ayew was full of goals and profits just previous .Also , I think we have better players these days ......just not a better team , maybe Clement can mend that

and Ayew too Breezy, how could I forget. An Ayew in on the cheap and an Ayew out for ridiculous money.

So far we've signed a kid with potential on loan, a keeper on a free and an U18 prospect from Holland. Hears looking at Huw kid .

Narsingh hasn't been a success yet for me - he's no better than other wingers we have so far.

Along with Eder, Tabanou and Baston, we've also had Schecter, Paloschi, Gomis, Oliveira, Grimes, Emnes to name a few that have failed though.

I'd still rather hold onto Mawson for at least another season.

It's difficult for teams like Swansea to keep hold of their best players since the player holds all of the cards. Contracts mean nothing these days. When the big boys come knocking it's away to go.
Just ask Southampton.
