Agree on Amat , on the fence with VDH ....not because I don't think he will possibly work out well ....he's just never going to get a chance so what's the point .
So you think we will need to change the title of this thread then Breezy? I will be over the moon, should that need to be done, believe me!!!.........
It's Official the Jacks are staying up, and this thread has been amended accordingly.....................
A lot to be released and quality to be brought in. Lets enjoy the rollercoaster that will be pre season and the transfer window.
I do get it but isn't there a lot of difference in prize money for every place. I hope Siggy and Llorente start as it may be my last time see them in a swans shirt
If you want to see some of the youngsters and check them over go to the match at the Liberty tomorrow KO 7pm and see if they can win a trophy.
What a relief to be safe, Jinx don't you dare gamble away a season again, and cover it with bull!......
And so it starts , Swansea and West Ham have been linked to a move for Bony . Apparently it will take 15 million to get him . Apparently , he's called off any move to China because he wants to prove himself in the Premier after last season . Prove yourself with us ....SOLD .
Wonder if the rumours about John Terry will re-surface now that we are safe? That said, can't see him ahead of Fernandez & Alfie
Anyone reading today's EP? The club ate going to ensure this season never happens again, the paper is full of the Swans from front to back, some really good points coming out on strengthening the squad for next season!.......
hopefully our first new signing on a permanent deal. Think he has a lot to offer. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/swansea-city-close-agreeing-new-13039666
Good news , I can't wait for Makelele , with Britton's iutput , to start a fresh summer of working with the defensive aspect of the team .
If there is any lessons to be learned by our owners then they will see the last 3 or 4 seasons that Jenkins and the previous board have not treated the club as a premiership club and the spending did not show we are a premiership club.....We have had a massive scare and we have scrapped home by the skin of our teeth and a lot of that has been because results have gone for us in the past month or so.....the Sunderland beating Hull at their place was the game that changed things and it was unexpected to our delight. ...We need to have a good clear out now with our one game wonders and the yanks need to give Clem some serious money to buy some quality players early and not leave everything until the last moment like we always do with the best players being snapped up by other clubs.....We have been lucky this time and we must learn from this big time and change the way we do things because if we dont we will see another season like the last one and we may not be so lucky next time.....
Judging by Jinx media spew today, it would seem the nugget has learnt nothing from this season!............................
For Swansea's fans rightly proud of their previous fan ownership and community club model, a lack of investment from the new owners would be unforgivable. But chief operating officer Chris Pearlman says there should be no concern on that front, even though the club intend to remain debt-free. "The objectives of Jason and Steve are simple: to do everything they can to make the best club possible, to stay in the Premier League and to finish as high as possible," Pearlman told BBC Wales Sport. "That's the big picture and Premier League status in the number one focus, every move we make this summer will be with that end goal in mind for the club. They will put all available resources behind doing that. "They've now first-hand got a sense of what the pressure is like when things aren't going well, and how important every decision they make is. "The implications for not succeeding are massive. We've all learned quickly how intense everything is and we know in the Premier League the pressures are enormous. "The owners won't recklessly pour debt into the club, which is important for supporters to know, we are debt-free and that is how we intend to continue operating. "What we need to do is invest into the team but also look for new revenue streams to invest further. All the goals we have in mind are to allow us to invest more in the team." BBC interview
Is Siggy on his way out? If so then nothing short of £40 Million will be good enough, he's that important, he's top in this league at his game, and if he was at any top 6 team, they would be asking easily that fee, please Jinx lets end the poor ambition, of selling too cheap........
