What a piss take, wouldn't be surprised if Levy tried this. A player they don't rate or want for a rising British star. Wouldn't surprise me if HJ fell for this.

Lets hope he sees the sense in this.

I am keeping quiet on this one. I think it is going to be a great signing, but am not 100% on that. Think we have to give him time as said earlier I hope he isn't going to be our no. 1 striker, but can see him doing well when we have an injury or to many games for llorente to play.Really chuffed with Tammy signing![]()
Again with this one, I really don't know if this is good or not, people seem to think it is a fantastic signing and I suppose AM chasing would indicate he is a good player. But will just have to wait and see how it goes, don't know enough.La Palma say Mesa deal 100% agreed. So I'm assuming that if he passes his medical tomorrow will be our player tomorrow evening.

Never mind Ben , I'd take 20 million for Mawson ...period ... SOLD .. Not really sold on his defensive capabilities .Use the money to buy another CB or two . .... and sell Bartley and Amat while keeping young VDH for back up .£20m plus Ben for Mawson? I'd take that.
For me, signing Abraham is a strange decision. He may be good, then again, he may not be. That's the problem, we don't know because he has no experience in the prem and is untested at this level.
Are we signing him to be our second striker after Llorente?
I think this would be a huge gamble if he is because no matter how much potential comes with, the reality of the matter is, he has no experience at this level. His reputation comes from the experience he had with Bristol City and his pedigree comes from his being a Chelsea prospect. Imo, that's not enough to consider him as our #2 striker. Certainly not enough for us to expect him to carry the team if, or when, Llorente gets injured.
Chelsea seem to be hedging their bets though by giving him a long term contract, just in case he comes good with us.
The best scenario for me is that he' our #3 striker which means, if Baston is on his way out, who will be our #2? Are we still in the market for a third striker? I'd be happy if this was the case. Could be PC has had a change of heart re Baston and he's staying? we shall see.
What ever Abrahams role, I hope ours isn't as baby sitter and PC will use him as a Swansea asset not a Chelsea prospect.
You may well be correct Stumpy but, when we came up we signed Danny Graham who had done relatively well in the Championship the previous season - Danny did ok for us that first season. For me, signing Abraham is a strange decision. 40 million for Mawson ... I almost parked my groceries all over the computer . This kinda reminds me of the call for 25 million for Montero after the first season . As for VDH , he's had little to no chance to show himself , even so , still managed a MOTM in one of his few starts . Hope we keep him for backup . Also on the CB front , a lot of people wanted Fernandez to ride the bench last season and got rid of .... good thing we didn't eh .Roof, you were doing so well then and you had to bloody spoil it with VDH, cant pass, has the turning circle of the QE2, poor positionally, slow, he wasn't to bad in the air if I remember. I can see why Ajax let him go. just hope we do the same.
Big profit on Mawson, but I think he is going to be a future England Captain, with another good season and a cap under his belt I wonder if that 20m may be more like 40 if we can keep him for another season. Then I would sell.
