Swansea City has completed the signing of winger Jamal Lowe from Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance.

Lowe becomes the fifth signing of the summer for the Swans, following on from the arrivals of Korey Smith, Freddie Woodman, Morgan Gibbs-White and Marc Guehi.

The 26-year-old appeared in all of the Latics’ 46 Championship games last season – following his arrival from Portsmouth – helping them record the third-best record of any side in the second-tier during 2020.

Sorry but I couldn't help myself

I did a conference in Australia and i talked about how you find talent where you don't expect it - used Monty Python as an example - would you go to top universities to look for crazy comedians - walked on stage to 'and now for something completely different' and quickly got into I'm a Lumberjack - but not before donning the jacket and a hat!

Apparently £800,000 + add ons. That means that Wigan can now pay us the £750,000 they still owe us !!

You have got yourselves a very talented player. Hope he does well for you <ok>

Unless Jake Silverstein (and Kaplan & Levein) put in more cash that has been ‘suggested’ in the Press, then the Club must be expecting to sell or offload someone (or some players) shortly?
I’m expecting us to lose 2/3 players. I’m expecting Celina to go, didn’t feature much with Cooper in the run in. They I think we might just want to cash in on Ayew, based on age and is it only one year left on his contract? If so then he will be off loaded for around 5m. If he does go for around that figure, then it’s covered our transfer dealings.

The only other player that could go would be Roberts. If Roberts is sold then it’s got to be a disable transfer fee.

Celina was linked heavily with Brighton, but that seems to have gone quiet.

Cooper seemingly doesn’t like Celina - it happens, I remember Roque Mesa telling me that these things happen and that Clement didn’t ‘like’ him.

Keeping Ayew would be a statement of intent - but if he is on £80k, then offloading him would free up a lot of cash between now and 30 June 2021. Against that, many Clubs could well be put off by his wages, so we may not be able to offload even if we wanted.
