He is exactly the sort of player we should be signing or trying to sign, experienced in this leagie and made a lot of appearances. looks a good signing and free.

Clubs are feeling the pinch just like we are and they need to slim down their wages as well....If tommy can keep his eye on the ball he may be able to pick up some freebee's..As mat says it has nothing to do with his skill but what QPR can afford...
I've read they are getting rid of players due to their financial situation, however I've also read that they've been trying to sell him on but there were no takers.
I can't see the problem myself , the Club is not in a position to buy stella players , he's experienced, had a good footballing education and he hasn't kicked a ball for us yet

There's no problem at all, I hope he turns out to be amazing (and therefore sold at the end of the season unless we get promoted). We're down one left full back with Olsson going and although Naughton can and does play there at least we're replacing him with someone with experience .We may have a gem or may not time will tell but Cooper rates him and at the moment he's in a better position than I to judge
Give him to them, don't rate him at all, lazy and a poor attitude, then bring in a winger on his wages who actually wants to put a shift in.

Totally agree , the very limited time on the pitch last season was imo down to as you described him in your post.
Forest fans said the same in fairness so its not just us
