We need between 4 & 6 championship quality players if we are going to challenge the big sides, Nobody wants to see us in the bottom half fighting yet another relegation battle and as shown playing a league two side we have a lot of work to do and like Dragon as it stands we will struggle.....
One in one out, looks like that's our transfer Policy. In - appears we're about to sign a household name, 19yo Joel Asoro? from the mighty Baggies?? Out - we're letting Kyle Bartley go??? to a fekkin Championship rival WBA???? I can see the Swedish link between Asoro and Potter, at a push, but letting Bartley go and to WBA, don't get that at all unless he can't wait to get out of here, but to the baggies? Both deals just wreak of HJ influence to me. We were told he'd be business only, with nothing to do with transfers or the changing room this season, now I'm sure that's bullshit designed to placate us fans.
Do you think that any one will come in for our players who are on the injured list, none of whom will be fit to play before the close of the transfer window on August 9th. They are Bony, Clucas, Fer and Mawson.
At least there's movement in a graveyard Phill, with plenty of new meat to feed the worms. Can't see anyone coming in for Clucass or Fer at all Phill. You'd have to be a supreme optimist to risk a punt, because that's what it will be at this time, on Mawson. Bony, we'll have to give him away I think.
I thought Asoro was coming from Sunderland. But did anyone think it would be any different, we have heard it all before from the thieving yanks and lying HJ. there is no doubt he is still involved and is still hell bent on making the Yanks money and ruining our club, I absolutely ****ing hate the guy. the sooner we rid ourselves of the cancers running through our club (yanks and HJ) the sooner we can get back to being a proper football club.
Could this be the starting team on 4th August: if we don't make any more signins. I have picked Asoro because I think he will be here. Nordvelt Roberts VDH Amat Olssen Byers Grimes Fulton Narsingh Mcburnie James Subs Mulder Harries Govea Asoro Carroll Dandho I haven't included the injured or the ones strongly rumoured to be leaving. I have chosen Amat and Narsingh because the rumours are not to strong about them
That midfield will get destroyed, so I am praying it isn't the starting team. That side has relegation written all over it.
The trouble is who have got in midfield at the moment. Fer not expected to be fit until mid September and Clucas may be fit for second. game. So that just leaves Carroll, Dyer and Routledge who I don't think are any better.
That's why we have to go out and strengthen, we have to, deep down though I know we wont, We kept Grimes who Leeds fans thought was the worst player they had ever seen when he was there on loan and let go Bartley who was outstanding in the Championship. we are in deep deep **** this year guys. nothing against the kids at the club, but none have any experience yet alone first team or championship level. I am seriously worried about the season. For all that what has McBurnie seen at the club to think it is worth signing a new deal or are we paying him more than he could get elsewhere.
We have van der Horn Amnat masswon IMO signing McBurnie is a great bit of business ,a player who was has the knack of creating and scoring his own goals as shown last season in struggling side is a positive for me. Bartley would be a loss imo van der Horn is the better player and if we keep Mawson Amat and Fede then that's not a shabby defence .Don't forget Fultons back and if we can keep the core of last year then I don't see us struggling.(that might bite me on the arse I know but we haven't kick a ball in anger yet).
There is a lot of Ifs in that reply Matty. If Mawson Stays, If Fede stays, if we get players fit. Fulton didn't do to much on loan I L1 last year but at least he played a handful of games. I quite like him but not sure. I hope your right with the not struggling, but when they finally strip the squad, which they will if they can make a buck, then see and decide how we will do.
I know , but it's the hope that keeps you going . Fulton was "ok" in the PL and tidy enough at Wigan so the middle ground for me is that he's a steady eddie type of player in the c/Ship.No ones going to buy Fer and possible Mawson as they're still out injured that's not to say they'll still be here in January but at least we'll hopefully have enough points on the board to stop us looking over our shoulders.I'm hopeful that Potter has enough about him to turn the ship around or at least steady it .We do need a clear out nad if it means mid table mediocrity next season then so be it., maybe by then the yanks and sellouts will be just a distant but painful memeory
Get him and keep him fit is the key playing wise but austerity is the new club buzz word so if he hasn’t a relagation clause in his contract can you see the club keeping him whether he wants to go or not
