When you have players who earn a life times wages in 6 months the thought of putting food on the table is not something they worry about so keeping their job is not important. They have no emotional ties to the area, and they also know they are a commodity to be bought and sold. So when the chips are down they have nothing to lose. How would it all be if the FA said every relegated teams players have to stay with the club ( if wanted) until the parachute payments are gone. My guess is you would see some passion on show then.
Well if we do drop down ( it's unlikely Hull will fall apart ) then perhaps we can sing that little ditty of yours " we're coming for you " ,
Plenty to play for yet....Clem just needs to inform the players of that fact because you would never think we are in danger of relegation the way they have been playing especially against teams around and were below us.....
I have watched the Swans since 1958 and some of the dross I have seen in the lower leagues is beyond description. Having watched lower league football on the box , although I have renewed my season ticket, there is no way I want to drop back down, to watch that.
Look on the bright side we could have another Championship play off final to look forward to Also when I said lower leagues I was thinking Championship not any lower. Aldershot, Workington Town I still have nightmares.
I didn't mind the Championship. The problem is when you've dined at the top table, dining at any other is a comedown.
They tell me there are some big clubs in the Championship, we will be playing! taking points off the 'Bodde snatchers', Weeds, and Red Tits, who all are massive clubs is going to be a delight, at least we will be winning games again!............
Why would Llorente go he is coming to the end of his career as long as he gets paid there is no need to sell. He is under contract I know we had that Chelsea nonsense. But seriously where would he go only some other premier league club in trouble. Besides he could really get among the goals in the Championship.
