Having played against Robbie many times, even a bit like 20 year old Robbie would be a very good starting point.

Good luck to Llorentte anyway. He did a good job saving our skin while here and deserves a bigger club for his Swan song (excuse the pun) Would have liked to have kept him but he has too much class in his locker not to be wanted with bigger clubs........Glad he has snubbed Chelsea for spurs as he will get much more game time...
Surely we're not being left with only Olsson, Naughton, his hamstring and an aged Rangel to cover both left-back and right-back? Add the fact we've only got three fit CB's and we will be playing all three every game its neglegent if we dont sign at least one more defender.

Clement reckons Clucas can cover left back - no one else does.
Given that it was our defence that let us down last season (OK with significant help from Bob) we have demonstrably weakened that part of our game.
Not so sure about that Dai. I think both teams would use him as a sub to bring a different style of play in the last 10 mins either to get a winner or as a hold up man when seeking to close a game out. But yes good luck to him he got some crucial goals for us last season.
His legs have gone and we should have bought someone in this window , If we could transpose Rangels' commitment and intelligence into Naughtons' body you could be onto something
But when has he ever played left-back??
We all saw the hole in our defence last year was at Right-back and we almost fell into it. This year, if we don't sign anyone, that same hole is still there but even bigger now because Naughtin is injury prone and Rangel is a year older.
Problem is, due to activity in the transfer window, we have a gaping hole on the left too, plus we have a very flimsy defence because Clement is going to play 3 CB at a time and we only have 3 left standing. One more injury and we're in real trouble. Why cant they see this, my fekkin cat can and she's only got one eye.
It doesn't matter how good our rent boys play, or how good our cheap alternatives turn out to be or if the decent players we have can carry the midfield, If we have no defence we're vulnerable. Last year our defence was awful and this year we're setting ourselves up to be the whipping boys of the league. We're risking our entire season on a wafer thin defence. The owners are gambling and with the defence we've got the odds are we're gonna lose.

No cover at fullback, (worse given that Rangel is now our only back up because some fcukwit thought it was a good idea to sell Kingsley) still haven't replaced Gylfi, shipped out the majority of our goals last season in Llorente and Gylfi, no cover at CB and the Yanks are sitting on £135m from sales and tv monies etc.
Sell our captain and replace him with someone, who despite being here for 6-8 weeks, isn't fit.
Oh, and we've still got ****ing Montero on our books.

Could be that they have also waived dome/part of their 10% of Gylfi's transfer fee......
There's no mention anywhere of anything other than the Bony deal for us. Would be surprised if anything else happens.
